16710 BLRO + 97200 Glidelock Bracelet = Perfection

So I was fortunate enough to source a 97200 ( Ceramic Sub ) Bracelet. I am honestly not a fan of the newer ceramic Sub and GMT models and don't really like the fat lugs. But the new Sub bracelet is just pure perfection in my opinion. Now I have placed the glidelock bracelet on my 16710 this morning and it's amazing. It's an absolute perfect fit and feels great on the wrist. I will also install this bracelet on my 16610 when I decide to switch watches.

Cheers

Looks amazing!

I've felt that the stock Oyster bracelet on my 16710 to feel a bit less substantial and lighter than the bracelets on my other newer model Rolexes. Does this bracelet swap make the watch feel a bit more substantial? What did you need to do this, and what parts (e.g., different spring bars, etc.) did you need? My 16710 is without the lug holes.

I'm a little surprised this fit! I'd love to know how you made it work.

I too prefer the 5 digit case over the 6 digit, but the latter has grown on me as it looks more modern.

Your bracelet looks like it has a different finish than my LV's. Has it been refinished? Might just be the lighting.

And yes, I agree, the glidelock bracelets are the best!

Ken, yes the original bracelets are definitely less substantial and light and tend to sag over time. The bracelet swap makes a huge difference. The watch feels substantial and I highly doubt I would wear the original bracelet anymore. I am using the original spring bars from 16710 and there is no play room...it's a perfect fit.

Faz, it's the lighting. The bracelet has not been refinished and does look different when I see it on my wrist as opposed to the pics I put here. I did own the 116610 at one point but didn't care for it.

Thanks, Adam! I think you just solved a personal decision I've been on the fence on for several years now. I think your watch looks great.

This is sick. I've seen people replace the clasps but not the whole bracelet. Winner winner.

sorry to bring this back from the dead, but would this work on a 16710 with lug holes?

Looking sweet I’m not a fan of Rollie’s older bracelet either! Best of both worlds, a 5 digit case with a 6 digit brace!

Yes. You could use shouldered or shoulderless spring bars.

The old original bracelet balances the 16710 better. IMHO.
