The pic showing how the light shines through around each part just emphasizes the marvel that is the mechanical watch - the thing that drives most of us to watches. Must have piece if one can afford it.

Really appreciate all the congratulations and kind words as you all can tell this is a very special and pivotal piece in my collection, glad I could share the picture with you.

Also quite moving is it’s exactly one month off the due date of our expected boy after two girls along with me always saying I’d get myself a significant watch for my 40th which is later this year

Guess you can say through presistance, pure luck or maybe just good old hard work I made a watch mile stone and well deserved I believe.

Chris to be honest I hadn’t noticed, some heavy posters make that count relatively quicker but it’s taken me nearly eight years on here and a good eights years it’s been!
Made some very good friends (oh and a few guys I met on an AP meet ) I’ve followed you with a few major incomings you’ve had and great to be able to return that favour even if the metal’s the wrong colour for you

That’s a great picture and nice to see them side by side, the subtle differences are nice and I can see pros & cons for both.

Will say I much prefer these openworked over the tourbillion RO versions

Would love a AP Tourbillion, but for me in this situation the choice was clear

That would of been the 15305st as pictured by davyhk as the 15407st was released 2016 I believe.

Wow, congrats Sam!

If you’ve graduated from AP now I’d love to see what comes next. I hear ALS makes a pretty nice triple split...

yeah the title was a little over excited!

Next ideally would be a complication piece outside AP there is the 5164a and 5990a ahead of the pack, but I’d love to see a more available AP Ce PC or from a dream POV a Ce ROC or Pt/Ti PC would work.

But at this price territory I’d be looking at a piece a year opposed to my previous purchase rate

and that is how it should be. Its a shame when the hype and general consensus means the piece doesnt live up to an individual's expectations.

This far exceeds expectations

I initially thought that but think the all black case would take away from the great movement/case contrast, but I’ll reserve full judgment until they release one.

This is absolutely stunning piece!

How is legibility in different lightnings? How's the lume?

The details are mesmerising

Had to give a true indication in pics but this is the best pic I have to show now the RG hands contrast really well against the rhodium movement

And here’s a quick lume shot I took the other day
