The only Rolex I regret picking up was an Explorer. It was an impulse purchase and was really redundant in my collection. There was nothing wrong with the piece itself, I just ended up getting it without really thinking it through. It saw almost no wrist time after the first 48 hours or so and I sold it within a few months.

The only other Rolex watches I have sold were a Milgauss which I regret and a 114060 which was replaced with a 116610LV.

Only regrets are not pulling the trigger on a 16610lv before the prices got out of control.

I regretted buying a white dial Daytona 116520 within a week of buying it. To me, the watch did not live up to the hype, it looked a little too small on me and was hard to read for my 50-something eyes.
Flipped it a week later.

Or, if you are like me, wait 20-ish years, and then buy one :-)

For me, it was love at first sight. I couldn’t afford the watch I loved back then, but this year, I finally could afford the watch I loved in rose gold. The watch arrived today and I cannot stop looking at it.

My first Rolex was a black DSSD and I regretted buying it almost as soon as I put it on. I wore it maybe three times, a couple hours total wrist time.

Happy ending though. I traded it some years later for my grail watch, the BLRO 16710. Straight up trade. Paid $7800 for the DSSD so that’s what I paid for the GMT Master II I’m now sporting.

Nope, not at all. But every time I buy one I do a lot of planning and research. I think I would be more susceptible to buyer's remorse after an impulse purchase.

No to buyers remorse. I also have a tag similar to YM and thus won’t do a YM so can see where you are coming from. Good luck with your next choice.

the only buyers remorse i had was when i purchased my first rolex. thought it was to much money for a used watch, it was a 16610. the first one for me was the one that hurt, after that just couldn't be happier with each purchase.

Yes. That’s why I don’t care for quantity but only quality. I make sure I buy something I must have instead of having a deal or just because.

Rolex´s buyers remorse

I think with big purchases, especially when we’re talking tens of thousands of dollars, it’s normal to have feelings of buyers remorse. I’ve been there. And it’s not to say I don’t love my watch, because I absolutely do, but psychological you want to make sure you’ve made the best decision.

That being said, I’m sure it will go away once you start really using and enjoying the watch.

I purchased a pre-owned YG Daytona at an AD but after a couple weeks I realized it just me so I traded it along with a UN for a pre-owned platinum Grand Lange 1 at another store. I realized after a couple weeks that the Grand Lange didn't sit well on my wrist so I traded it for the limited edition 40mm platinum ALS 1815 that was pre-owned by one week at the same AD where I bought the Daytona. I love the ALS 1815 and the 40mm fits my wrist perfectly. Whenever in doubt buy pre-owned and usually don't take much of a hit.

Not with a Rolex. I did have another watch that I ended up regretting (brand won't be named). It was a rare watch, manual wind, amazing clear back so I see the movement. However, after a while of it losing 20 - 30 seconds a day and the annoyance of manual wind, I realized what I want is beautiful timepieces that I don't want to worry about. Rolex fits that bill.

Never.
Even the ones I flipped, I still love them... just need to make room and needed the funds to get something even better.

I waited about 9 months for the LVc. I was truly obsessed with it. The fateful day arrived and I saw it at the AD. I know many people hate PCL, but I love them on my BLNR, which I wear daily. I saw the brushed finish on the Sub bracelet (which I knew about beforehand but didn't really consider) and my heart sank. In my head, I considered buying the TT Bluesy on the spot, but after waiting so long, I went ahead and still bought the LVc. My thinking was that I could still sell the LVc and trade to a TT Bluesy, without paying taxes on another $3k.

I'm sure most will think I'm either crazy or offer to 'trade' or both, but for now my LVc is sitting in the safe deposit box after being worn only twice. Most likely I'll see how things go with the LVc and possibly buy the TT Bluesy as my other daily.

Not yet, and I hope never ;)

I always do much research before showing the credit card. I did almost get the current yacht master until the AD told me they got the sea dweller 43 for me

Never buyer's remorse, but I've definitely experienced seller's remorse!

I'm still grieving.

I barely escaped having buyer's remorse. I was all set to pick up an OP39 that my AD was holding aside for me. At the last second I decided to purchase what I really wanted all along, which was a DJ41. Phew!!
