Rolex OP spotted at the gym....

Just got back from the gym, saw a guy there and sure enough, he was wearing a Rolex OP, smooth bezel, blue dial, sticks...wow, that dial was just beaming, really stunning looking watch in person, hadn't seen one before.

I approached him and asked him about it, he loved it, said he actually gets compliments all the time, said it was a beauty and wished him well....

My rhodium OP lifts and swims with me at the gym. No one has ever noticed (or the YM, for that matter). Maybe I should have gotten blue? lol

I don't have one - but seen the blue dial in person - it's beautiful. Congrats to those who have it - pictures don't do the dial justice.

I'm not sure what you mean by "seriously," but my watch doesn't interfere with my exercise. I may not be too serious, though. I'm just trying to keep the pounds away.

I agree 100%, I never wear a watch in the gym especially working out with with free weights. Machines maybe one thing, but not free weights.

This was an older gentleman, doing some light leg, arm and shoulder work on some of the machines.

But he rocked the Casbah with that OP.....

Thats different, I work out with heavy weights and bang into stuff constantly. No way I'd ever wear a watch in the gym, just one less thing to worry about.

Exactly. I don't want any extra concerns or restrictions. Sweats. Cotton t-shirt. Lifting shoes. Other than that, I don't want it on me when lifting; I don't even like having anything in my pockets.

Even more an issue if one is doing Olympic lifting, which would subject a watch to more shock.

I woke up today thinking should I wear a watch to the gym... then tried to think about how I would physically be able to press heavy weights... and put on straps for my pulls and deadlifts...

Decided can’t work. It would be in the way.

If you are doing light weights or cardio. I guess wearing a Rolex could works make sense.

Btw weight loss is 90% diet not exercise. :)

I like the OP. If I had smaller wrists I would own one.

I’ve got 7” wrists and it fits great, the whole case is the dial vs a bezel on a sub/gmt. Wears really nicely
