Correct bracelet and end links for a 1978 GMT
All,
Is there a database that shows what the appropriate bracelet and end links for a 1978 GMT?

yes, mine came with a 78360 coded bracelet. Originally, I thought the bracelet and watch were not original to each other, but my stance is starting to change because the brown colored patina is fairly uniform and matches on the watch, bracelet and clasp. FWIW, the clasp is VB coded, which looks like a 1977-1978 production date unit.
Regarding the end links, did the 1978 GMTs come with 580 end links?

Would the VB clasp be considered too old for this watch since it was manufactured in 1977? FWIW, below are pics of mine. It's a 1978~ MK5 with a 5.4M serial.
