I took a gamble on Baselworld and lost

I really didn’t believe anything would come out that grabbed my attention, so I bought a different toy. Well, I was wrong. The new dial DJ41 is really cool. Not only that, but it has sucked me in and I’m looking at some others as well. I believe someone should arrange an intervention in Vegas, but I know it will only be enabling. This WisCon is going to lighten my wallet.

I have it on order with my AD. I went with the jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel.

I may try to get a jubilee bracelet so I can swap them. Makes it a totally different watch. Congrats on the future incoming.

Thanks, but that isn’t my best bike. Check out the red one. Full Dura Ace DI2 with SRM crank. It’s now decked out with HED Jet 6 wheels. What’s bad is the yellow bike was still way more than the DJ41. Its a damn good thing I’m single!!!

That too. If I start collecting Tumi, somebody please stop me. It’ll be a TRF intervention.

I love those new Madones.. I'm a sucker for those little flaps that open up in the head tube when you turn the bars..

What else is in your stable? I only have a measly Emonda SL6 (built by me using a baby blue frame that's really WSD but I don't care)

Couple of older Madones, TTX tri bike, speed concept for just time trialing, and a KHS 29er mtb.

This is the bike I won many races and a few regional championships on. Best performances include a 28.5 mph for a 10 mile TT and 25.4 avg for a 40km TT. Those days are gone. I’m old and work too much now.

That's a gorgeous Speed concept.. I'm in the same boat. I am still relatively young (young enough to compete IF I had time to train), but seriously no time with work/life. I can barely make 2 rides a week :(

I have a road bike and a mountain bike. I do not compete, so excuse my ignorance, but why so many road bike? Why not just one AMAZING bike with top of the line everything?

Each bike is set up differently for a specific style of racing whether its time trialing, triathlon, crit racing, road racing, terrain, etc. My road bikes have different gearing and slightly different position based on whether I'm riding flats or in the mountains with roads kicking up to 13-15% grade. My TT bike is set up with oval cranks and a VERY aggressive position for wind resistance. Each have been set up with a RETUL fit, so it's just easier to have multiple bikes. I just want to hop on and ride.

Edit: Plus, new technology is great. My older Madones began to headshake at around 56mph. These new ones were rock steady at 65mph. Actually, it was 64.9 according to my Garmin. This was in your neck of the woods at the Six Gap Century.
