Another 15400 size question

Really going back and forth on the AD and the 15400 in particular. Unfortunately they didn't have a 15450 for comparison. Here's a wrist shot, my wrist is 6.5 inches.

Too big. The integrated lugs/plots jet out and you have some overhang there. It’ll be tough to get a good, comfortable overall fit. How does it feel on your wrist?

My wrist is about 6.5” and the 15450 fits me like a glove.

My initial impression is aesthetically overall the size didn't look too bad (I'm 6'2" with long arms so I have found 40-42mm type watches don't look horrible), but I was a bit concerned with how it would feel with that overhang for long term use. Feels like there might be a lot of empty space there between the lugs and my wrist.

Wish I could find a 15450 to try on.

Yep, the overhang and empty space is no a go for me. Fact, not fiction for a pencil wristed fella like me :) I recently test drove a 15300 and felt the same way. And the 15300 is 39mm vs. the 15400 at 42mm. I lucked out and my AD had a 15450 in stock. Albeit a 15450SR, but at least I got to try the 37mm RO on for size.

Looks too big for me and strictly speaking on a 6.5 inch wrist. But then again, you are 6 2".

I’m a fan of big watches, but in this case I expect that the 15300 or 15202 would look better.

It's hard to gauge size with cell phone pics that are taken directly by aiming at the watch on the wrist. I took this picture with a 100mm lens, aimed at the mirror. I have a 6.75in, and I do sometimes think the AP is a big large, but it looks fine in the mirror. Try taking a picture in the mirror next time you're at the AD.

For reference, here it is taken by iPhone.

I do not understand why you are hesitating!
I have 6.5 wrists too and up to 42mm everything is just fine.
Don't take pictures up close , just wear the watch and enjoy.
Would never dream of buying the AP 37mm version and I own and wear 36mm Rolex.
The AP needs to be 'present' on the wrist. It just does.

Looks good. Watches always look bigger on your own wrist than on someone else's.

Too big. Do a 15202 or 15300.

I like it personally. Maybe it’s a bit big objectively but honestly if it’s comfoetable just wear it

Imho looks good and if comfortable go for it!

fwiw, i started with a 15400 with 6.75 inch wrists and after 1 year of ownership ended up trading in for a 15202 because it just felt borderline a bit big from a comfort perspective for my personal pref.

39mm i find perfect fit size wise.

I’m thinking of a 15400 but concerned also with the size, I have 6.5” wrist and ROO 42 fits fine on mine, but this is more of a dress watch should fit more like a nice suit in my opinion, too big

As a previous owner with the same wrist size, I would suggest that you focus more on the fit than appearance. I think it looks fine on your wrist but make sure it's comfortable. AP RO bracelets don't have micro adjustments like Rolex so getting the right fit my be a challenge.
