It would depend on a lot of things for me:

Do I want a diver or a GMT?
What else is in the collection?
Do I want a daily wearer or a rotation watch?

Both are great choices, but this is where my thought process starts on the two.

Good luck deciding

2021 GMT BLRO definitely. Besides, GMT on the oyster bracelet beats that on the Jubilee version.

I like the JC because of the size. If they were the same size, I wouldn't be able to decide!

If you can afford it/swing it, get both. I've had the JC for almost 7 years and still love it. The BLRO on oyster is simply stunning - can't wait to get one.

Deep Sea for me too because of it's size and bulk, it's a beast! The black one is my daily watch.

Neither is a wrong choice, but its two completely different watches. Not everyone can pull off the size of the DSSD. Personally I lost interest in the GMT when it became the ultimate hype watch and I love my JC DSSD but its each to their own.

Seeing this I'd get the BLRO without hesitation

GMT. I wore the DSSD for a few days and it was too thick for me but it's all personal preference.

Brushed links on JC will probably show less scratches than polished central links on GMT

JC DSSD without hesitation.
The GMT will win the popular vote.
They’re both great watches but the JC looks and feels more special to me.

I know most Rolex enthusiasts are enamored with the various GMT iterations. I will take my D-Blue .

Pepsi wins hands down. To me, the JC is trying too hard to impress. Bigger, thicker and heavier is not always better, even for a diver. Yes, of course it's a good watch, but not one I'd want to own and wear. All down to personal taste.

I would choose solely on size/fit and I'd take the Pepsi 100% of the time.

I'm a Pepsi on jubilee, not oyster, guy -- and love my DSSD JC! So it's the DSSD for me.

It has a 3900m depth rating. Its not trying to impress anything, its engineering is what's impressing. I get not everyone wants a large watch but its function over form on that one

My 116660 became my favorite Rolex. Not the most expensive I have but just makes me smile all day when I wear it...

I have a JC and I love it but if I were offered both at the same time, I would go Pepsi all day. JC are a bit easier to get get so can wait.

Have both and it's a draw. Something interesting I noticed:

Out of all the Rolex I have ever owned - and I have had platona, 116618lb etc on my wrist. No watch gets more random compliments than the JC. The thing is just such a beast on the wrist. My thoughts are that your average non-watch person doesn't really know what a Rolex looks like (size wise) up close but they know the general design of the submariner. Well the JC is like a submariner on steroids. To the non WIS it just comes off as extremely obvious and everyone seems to ask about it.

I would choose Deepsea D-blue. The ”Pepsi” is too small.
