Which model can be purchased at "normal" pre-owned prices?

No sports watches, obviously.

Let's look at 5 digit refs. 14000? What else?

What’s normal? Like 20-30% below it’s MSRP?

I think the 2000+ 36mm Day Date and 5 digit yellow gold day dates are some of the best bang for buck right now.

Already went up an easy 3k compared to less than a year ago.

SD43 is not too expensive to buy pre-owned and is undervalued compared te other models IMHO.

Actually really good call. I might also add an SD 16600 is still a decent buy.

X3

The Deepsea (black dial) sells for pretty decent prices too, if you have the wrist for it

Agreed on the SD43 entry point at Grey prices.

The key is something that is similarly priced grey vs retail, which (aside from upping AD spend history) you can get into without wait and enjoy on your wrist.

Sub41s are starting to come closer to this also, starting.

Plenty in the market. Older DD36 for example, and tons of DJ36 can be had at good pricing.

16600 Seadwellers are undervalued right now, I've seen a few for $7k and it's a lot of watch for what you get IMHO

DJII (except blue) still regularly sell for less than their original retail.

I'm not sure , I own the Rhodium dial version and love it.
If you want a nice Sports Rolex and don't want to pay stupid money then the Yachtmaster is probably the best option

Because they're more expensive and more attractive than subs and are seen as inferior because they have a refinishable Platinum bezel insert instead of a throw-away ceramic bezel. That's why on the secondary market they're less expensive. It makes perfect sense.

The new one, with the blue hand, is quite nice.
The 1990s ones look a bit like an old Amstrad stereo, not so keen on the grainy dial.
