Do you drink more than one gallon of water per day?
I drink one gallon every day, curious if anyone consumes more and if so how much? Considering upping my intake.

I do drink a lot purified water. I also realize in heat, when I'm working outside on the boats or something, I have to have gatorade too. I never was a fan but it does help.

I fill a 1 gallon jug up every day before I go out biking or to work and fill my reusable bottle up with it throughout the day and generally have none left by the end of the day.

The thinking is you should drink around 80 to 100 fluid ounces a day. A gallon is 128. (US)
Although there are people that say it's nonsense and only drink when you are thirsty. The 8 glasses of water a day is a relatively new fad. I could go all day and rarely drink anything. For the first 40 or so years of my life I rarely drank much water except when doing sports. One thing to remember is over drinking water/fluid also washes minerals (electrolytes) out of the body which is not a good thing. Loss of electrolytes can lead to heart palpitations and other issues. Also coffee is a diuretic which increases the excretion of liquid from the body and can cause dehydration. So the thinking is, if you drink a ton of coffee, you should drink more water. Personally every morning I fill a water container with around 80 and sort of monitor it during the day. Sometimes I drink it all and other times I don't. Playing sports I drink a water bottle full of water/electrolyte mixture. Not gatorade.

Never measured but always have a large glass of water with me during waking hours. Then spend too many trips at night to get rid of it.

Yes, at least that much. I really do not "track" it, but usually fill up my 24 oz cup five or six times at work during a normal day. If golfing in the heat will drink a 16 oz bottle about every other hole or so. Normal weather drink 3-4 bottle a round. I also drink a lot of coffee....I love coffee!

I would get drowned if I did. Half that I'm sure. Especially in the morning right after bed.

I drink more than that, closer to 2 gallons with electrolyte packs mixed in. Currently eat a high protein diet and get an hour of sweaty aerobic in every day. A high protein diet makes me thirsty.

I think I drink more Coca-Cola than water. This is a cold climate where I am though.
Last time I was in a hot climate, the water was pouring off my chest forehead and back as fast as I was pouring it down my throat, must have been 3gallons/15litres on those days.. I guess it depends how you are acclimatised to your climate? |

A woman I know ended up in the hospital with water poisoning for drinking too much.
I drink @ 32oz a day not to mention a boatload of coffee. Sent from Crapatalk

This is something i need to change. I don't drink nearly enough, if at all sometimes. I drink coffee in the morning. I always have something to drink with dinner, It's either water or a beer.
I'm never thirsty unless hiking or biking etc. |

With out a doubt, I'm a bit of a hydroholic if I'm honest, . I start the day with a pint of warm water, I do a physical job, and keep a 2 litre bottle of water in my van, and this is refilled at lunchtime, if I'm offered a drink by customers, I always ask for water.

Some days I don’t drink anything at all, other days I’m really thirsty and will have about 2 litres.
I do eat a lot of vegetables and high water content foods though so rarely dehydrated.

Not always but I try.
If you include water flavored with coffee bean extract or hops, then yes I reach that :) |

About 3 liters of water, then one or two cups of coffee or tea and some milk on most days.
No soda whatsoever, and I limit myself to 2 glasses of something with alcohol a week (usually single malt whisky). |
