About as good as it gets for a modern Patek. If I had the funds I'd be wearing one right now.

Without question the best Modern Patek released in a long long time. Only critique is at 41mm wears a bit on the big side so I've heard

At this price point I would consider adding 5204p

Very very nice. The only quibbles I've heard from collectors are the size (too big) and the luminous material on the hands..... But frankly probably the most desirable Patek in today's line up for a collector with my tastes!

Its sublime

In terms of size I dont think that it wears big at all.... For me it kills the 5204. IMHO the 5204 doesn't even come close. The only watch that I think comes close or tops it is the 5970p |

I'd take the 5370 over the 5970 any day. For me, the 5950 comes close, but I prefer the 5370.

In what way does it kill the 5204p? Imho the 40mm case is a better size and lets not forget the addition of a perpetual calendar!

Obviously it come down to personal preference.
I do not like the index markers on the 5204 The 5370 is extremely legible and has a vintage feel to it Just my two cents |

I am considering to add it to my collection too.
Is it worth to add it to the collection? My AD said there is no discount on 5370P. |

Everyone wants one. The only difference between those of us who have it and don't is $250,000 for our next Patek chrono. I'm sadly in the latter group

To the OP, are you thinking about getting the 5370P from an AD with your name on it or getting one from the secondary market? Have you tried it on your wrist yet?
For a watch at this price level, I would definitely try it on before making a purchase decision. Even if you have to fly out to Geneva from wherever you are to try it on at the Salon, it is worth it. I think it is fair to compare the 5370P with the 5204P. They both share the 29-535 PS split second chrono movement, although the 5204 has the perpetual calendar in addition. The 5370P has a black enamel dial which is very difficult to produce with a high failure rate. When I tried on the 5370P in Geneva, I did not feel the 5370P was too thick, although it measures 13.56mm in thickness. On the other hand, when I tried on the 5204P, it felt thicker although it is only a smidgen over 14mm in thickness. Another watch to consider is the 5004, which has a Lemania-based split second chrono, along with the PC. Some people like the Lemania-based chronos on the 5070/5970 moreso than Patek's new in-house 29-535 chrono movement. The 5004, like its 3970 cousin, feels odd on the wrist because the diameter to thickness ratio seems quite unconventional. However just as the 5170 is produced in greater numbers than its predecessor 5070 and the same for 5270 and its predecessor 5970, the 5004 production numbers are estimated to be less than its successor the 5204. In the end, it is a personal decision and whichever you decide, I hope you enjoy your new watch. The 5370P is a very fine piece and there is not a single fault that I could find with the watch. |

I wouldn't foresee a discount in the US either but don't you get a substantial VAT refund when you buy in the U.K.?

Great watch.
My only question is of the thickness ? I haven't had the chance to try one on.

Thickness is 13.5. Watch wears a bit smaller on the wrist than the size indicates. Thin lugs and the shape of the bezel help, along with the black dial. Movement is quite spectacular. Lovely watch, just still have a problem with the sub-dial arrangement.
