3800 Nautilus Service Question
Hi Everyone,
I recently picked up a 3800 Nautilus from the original owner. When I bought the watch, the owner sheepishly admitted that he never serviced the watch. If true, the upside is that the case has never been polished (indeed, it's very sharp). I'm inclined to send the watch to Patek for a full service. Before I do, I'd like to know: 1. Will Patek honor my request to keep the original dial, hands, and crown? 2. Will Patek honor my request *not* to polish the case? If any of you fine folks have experience with asking Patek not to replace original parts, I would love your feedback before sending my watch in. Thanks! |

I believe Henri Stern in NYC will want to examine the watch before making any commitment regarding parts replacement. Polishing is an extra cost service and they will certainly honor your request not to polish.
