although this isn't a cheap watch anymore I believe the market still underestimates it's rarity

I think we can agree a 5070P is a watch almost everybody likes. There are of course always exceptions but this one seems to be loved by ALMOST everybody

Knowing that there are probably less than 200....

This is nothing compared to their 'Limited editions' like the white gold 40th anniversary nautilus, the white gold worldtimer moon phase, ...
To be honest, I don't think it's really fair to call 1300 pieces a LE.
1300 for a 8K Rolex would be very limited but 1300 for a 90K Nautilus ??

Anyway, treasure this watch ... and don't sell it :-)

If people want to pay insane amounts for the thousands of PN Daytona's out there I don't want to know what this beauty will fetch one day

I do find it very odd that while vintage and even some modern have continued an almost unbelievable climb, references like the 5970 and 5070 seem to be steady. Or at least that's what I'm hearing, I may be listing to the wrong people?

Thanks my friend and I agree with you. In addition to modern patek, I collect vintage rolex and I like to joke that the 5070P is my screwdown newman

Modern watches in general have faired badly the last several years. 5970/5070 seem to be doing better than others with the Platinum variants staying steady or in some cases coming up in price slightly. Gold 5970s have come down but not as much when compared to other references that used to sell very well.
