Is this vintage sea master a fake?

Was hoping to get some feedback from those who are more knowledgable than me about the authenticity of this watch.

It's a vintage 1970s sea master calibre 1020 just like the one in this video

I'm particularly dubious of the hippocampus as it seems to be a rather low res stamping

Appreciate any feedback, thanks

It look real enough, but it is extremely clean which may suggest that is has be polished - very professionally, but polished nonetheless. That might also explain why the case back stamp looks a little shallower.

It looks real, but condition looks to clean to me as well.
Seeing that you are from Australia, it immediately made me think of the "Watchco Omegas".
Which I believe are watches made up of NOS Omega parts, but have controversy over whether they are "authentic" or not.
Here is a link:

Or just google "watchco Omega"

Thanks for the replies so far guys. I've just found out the dial was not the original (which makes sense since it looks different to the one in the video)

Based on my really limit research it seems to be a refurbished watch of sorts, some non original parts + polishing etc. I think an original version of this model sells for about $1000 usd (in good condition) but not sure how much I'd pay for this one
