5711a or 5712a if buying used and same price?

In the US, the used price of a 5712 and 5711 are almost exactly the same price. So new question, if they were the same price, would you buy a 5711 or 5712 (both steel with blue dial)?

5711 for me...it's about what you want with that small price difference on these pieces.

I would still get the 5711 if I had to choose. Don't get caught up thinking you get "better value" with the 5712. Get the one you like.

I would buy neither of them.

But that's my opinion these days

5712...
I prefer some form of complication hence why I hit the 5712 instead and also 5164 & not the 5167. Just my opinion in that the watch looks more interesting...

I voted 5711. I'm still not the biggest fan of that model (although I haven't owned one but have tried several) but I think I'd prefer the cleaner dial and thinner case. The 5712 complications would be useful to me, but I think the fact they're both so different in price new, but used are very similar does say something about the 5711 popularity.

It's like Panerai. People prefer simple most of the time.

I tried on a 5712 last weekend and liked it more than I expected to...to the extent that I almost committed.

Having said that, I do prefer simplicity in a 'sports' watch. But I refuse to pay above MSRP and paying usd35k for a 5711 is in my view 'irresponsible'. It'll only encourage 'buyers' to flip it and genuine buyers to miss out. The 5712 has a micro rotor and is only 0.5mm thicker despite the additional functions.

5711 for me. At that price level, you might as well get the one you like better

5712 why wouldn't ya want complications? Unless you like the simple dial which then I understand.

5712 - I had a 5711 for a week and sold it. Quite bland for the price.
