Best Nautilus / Aquanaut combination - what would you choose
I'm about to pull the trigger and will buy 1 Nautilus and 1 Aquanaut.
Models I love are:- Aquanaut 5167r and both 5164's. Nautilus - 5712 g and a and 5726a with leather strap. The crazy wait time for 5711a is just too much for me. If you could have 1 of each which would you choose and why??? I'm erring towards 5712g and 5167r just now. Thin case profiles, 1 complicated and 1 time only watch and of course different metals. Sadly, the Premium for 5164r is just a little too much! Which would you choose and why? |

for me i would pick a 5164 A (because i own it) and a 5712 as i much prefer the dial layout to the 5711. I think it is very unique but is still a blue dial which is why I would not pick the WG gold one.
If deciding between a 5726A on a bracelet and a 5712A i don't know as i like both. They are so different i would probably pick what ever came in first. In all those choices though I actually like the SS the best vs the gold. Plus one strap (aquanaut) and one Bracelet (5712 or 5726) would be more important to me as far as variety than different metals. |

5164a and 5712r..
Complications and really think the rose on 5712 makes the 5712 look even better... |

My choice would be Nautilus in preference to Aquanaut. I tried a 5712R on the other day and it was stunning - I also hadn't realised they all come with a second strap which is fully waterproof but at a casual glance still looks like leather. No wrong decisions here. |

I'm actually going for 1 of each so I will have a rubber strap aquanaut of some description and also a complicated Nautilus with either a leather strap or Steel bracelet.
Although it seems quite a simple selection to make the steel vs pm, bracelt vs strap and simple vs differing complications available don't make it so straightforward! There are a lot of combinations to consider with varying merits! |

I like the 5164 in both metals but not so fond of the two nautilus as I like em on bracelets
Forced to chose 5164R and 5712G

OP mentions 5712'G', which I find stunning. The 5712R is also great and amazingly more popular, I dont know why... Either would be a great option imo. I also love the 5726, but more on bracelet than on strap.
For the Aqua, my favorites are in order: 5164R > 5164A > 5167A > 5167R. Perhaps a good way of pairing the Nauti/Aqua couple would be by metal: one in A or G, and the other in R. |

5712A for the Nautilus, I think a lot of the nautilus' charm comes from its bracelet. And if you want PM then 5167R. Otherwise 5164A since I own and love it very much so far.

Mine, 5712 and 5167R, also have 5711, but if I needed to sell one it would go, prefer the 2 others... Oh and don't get a Naut on strap, 40% of interest is the bracelet

If you want a PM what about the 5711/1R, on full gold bracelet? Could pair that with the 5164A, would still have complications and a PM piece.
My favorites would be 5711 blue & 5164A though. |

For SS, I would go 5712 and 5164, but if one in gold then the 5711/1r as the guys below say.
