Nah Grady, the video was filler but the article is fresh off the press. This is the hottest topic on HS right now.

Supreme gives me the worse Hypebeast headache. Have you seen the lines at their stores for EMPTY merchandise with "please shoot me" expressions on their employees?

Anything Hypebeast for Rolex talk will NEVER be an official manufacture collaboration. Certain words reference the watches in collaboration with a third-party modifier.

Not sure if The Carlyle Group people had enough coffee when they bought 50% of Supreme for $500 mil....

I have 13 and 16 year old sons and we have shipments from supremenewyork to our house regularly.

More recent purchase $150 for a 20,000 whatever Mophie battery. Overpriced but think of how cool my son will think he looks with that red battery with white box logo.

On the rolex? I saw it. F' em. Someone got 50k for it? I'm not a fan of Bamford stuff.

I think if anything they'd put out a red supreme oyster flex bracelet on a white 42mm explorer 2 with the supreme box logo on the dial.

I think I'm still pretty trendy for a man of my age but Supreme definitely skews towards teens/20 somethings. Not Rolex's target audience.

I think the F**k Em ones will be made just to be sent straight to greys. With no stickers or warranty and scratched to hell.

Lol, Don’t know AP much do you?

The only one that beats AP on collaborations is Hublot and Richard Mille.

Meh, I think Supreme is a lot bigger than James Cameron and they did a collaboration with him.

Supreme is bigger than Dominos Pizza and they make DP Airkings.

I think Supreme is a lot bigger than Tiger Woods and Tudor did a collaboration with him.

The point is that in this crazy world anything is possible and brands are always evolving.

Let's talk bricks.

Would you rather have:

1) A brick sold by Supreme

2) A brick from Eminem's childhood home

Don't understand the fascination with Supreme but my nephew (18 y.o.) swears by it. Interesting frame of mind they get from their marketing buzz though - genius business model. I recall a conversation wherein I told him that the phase of having logos emblazoned all over himself would pass as we sat discussing sartorial quality. I used as an example an Oxxford HQ suit wherein some things ooze quality and luxury without a single visible logo. His response was something along the lines of "Oxxford? Never heard of it - must be cheap stuff."

But as with all things in life - to each their own!

I think that Dominos Pizza and Rolex should issue a limited edition pizza box that has an organic Rolex watch display that is powered by the heat of the pizza inside. Very collectible, for about thirty minutes.

What is a supreme? Is it the singular for The Supremes? If so, I’m all for a Mary, Florance, and Diana watch!

Very interesting Steve, thanks for sharing.

However, there are not enough drugs in my head to imagine what in God's boots would possess anyone want to wear any item of apparel, never mind a Rolex, with such obscenities on the dial. That takes crass to a whole new level.

Nah that Bamford atrocity would not be the collaboration and I would not be a player if that was the case.

I think it would be a simple Box Logo on the dial myself.

If that was the case say on the Explorer II Polar and they change the Orange to red, I would probably take 2 of them.

You never know what a final design would look like but there is no way Rolex would allow a watch to be completely trashed, or at least I hope not.

I agree! The huge logo stuff isn't my speed at all either and I watched it die out awhile ago as well.

Most of my Supreme stuff is small logo and much tamer than the LV and Supreme collaboration.

I would never wear heavily branded clothes to the office or meeting colleagues as I am old enough to know better.

Having the odd youthful fun piece however is refreshing to me.

Sadly the kids will probably not be able to afford these and us old guys will probably grab them.

I am living in Switzerland for several years now and I cannot imagine a single (serious) company here, starting a collaboration with a "F**k Em" slogan.

In summary: NEVER EVER :)

Clearly not?

The ‘F**k Em’ slogan was nothing to do with Rolex it was between Supreme and Bamford who choose to modify a purchased Rolex.

The article is in regards of a rumoured direct colab!

Time will tell.
