Very nice! I keep hoping they make an E63 cabrio. That would be a great replacement for my E550 coupe.

Wow! You guys are awesome. Thanks for all the kind words.
Lol, little love affair going on. Keep finding reasons to drive somewhere. I think for the first time I can honestly say there are no real compromises here. Historically had to compromise something for something in a car like this. This may be the perfect car for me. Can’t wait til spring to get the top down. MB has really stepped up.

I ordered the upgraded AMG performance exhaust and love the sound. The seats are really comfortable and plenty of legroom for my 6'3" frame. No disrespect to Audi, but this is a nicer car that is quite a bit faster with better options for exactly the same money I paid for my S5 3 years ago.

I couldn't compare an Audi to a Benz. A Beemers even 2nd choice. AMG makes it even sweeter.

I’ll wager a cold start in that AMG sounds incredible!

Congrats, looks nice! Enjoy!

Having had 4 successive AMGs, was really concerned the AMG 43 models would dilute the the AMG brand, but they’ve done a really nice job trying to offer a “value” option below AMG 63 level cars. Not quite as extreme engine and chassis performance-wise as the top level AMGs, but still really respectable daily drivers, nonetheless. Nice blend of comfort and sportiness.

Probably would have gotten a 5th one in a row, but not into the new overly-complex Command system, so jumped to an M3 for 2 years, and have now moved onto an Alfa Quadrifoglio. At age 49, the controls are more in keeping with my current desire for simplicity and driving focus.

Always loved the AMG’s but no AWD in a convertible. Same with the M’s.
That is why I was in Audi. The 43’s are a nice mix of performance and practicality. A good friend is die hard AMG and he said the same thing regarding “devaluing” the AMG line but changed his tune after driving some. In fact he just bought his wife a GLC 43 and they can afford whatever they want.
Interesting regarding the MB technology as it is one of the features that I really like. The Apple car play set up is the most functional i have seen. Basically I just use Siri and run all commands thru my phone.
FYI, dig the Alpha. Drove the sedan and SUV when shopping. Super cool cars.

Get the AMR ECU tune for the C43, much more responsive and smoother transmission.

Thanks!

Yes, looking into some tuning. Funny, my guy dynoed one of these and they stock dyno much higher than MB rates them. A simple ECU/Tune can push 400-420 HP relatively easy with good gas. Torque goes way up too. Plus, as you said, improved shifting. He did a C43 sedan recently and they were able to get 0-60 @ 3.4 and 12.3 in the Q mile.

Congrats on the AMG!

Still have my old trusty '08 E63 that is about to turn over 100k miles. Have contemplated selling it for something new... but I just can't convince myself to let it go yet. They are fun machines!

S5 cab is a great car. This just has a few features that really sing to me. If you get a chance, drive one just to compare.
For example, an automated front and rear wind screen, heated and cooling seats (not offered on my 2015 5 in S package) and a “wind scarf” which is a vent in the head rest that blows hot or cold air, little more leg room, great apple car play set up and a bit more power.

Cheers Brother, still love the Macan—by far my favorite cuv/Suv on the market.

Soon my friend. Work travel this week. I’ll rub out the paint and get some nice shots soon. I can’t even express how much I am digging this machine. You know it’s bad when you miss you Car when traveling. Lol.

That all sounds pretty nice Mark! I’m afraid if I test drive it I’d end up ordering one.. :). My S5’s currently taking a winter nap. I just took delivery of an ‘18 Jeep GC SRT a few weeks ago and really enjoying the power, sound and technology including Apple car play, monitoring from my iPhone via UCONNECT etc.
