Congrats on the DJ! Very pretty and unique configuration. Agree that it's hard to do that chocolate dial justice through photos. It's one of those colors you just have to see in person to realize why people go with a brown-dial watch.

Unfortunately for some, your wish for dial will come true, as this dial will roll down on every ref. IMO, the new dial has the batons a little too big, don't go perfectly with the DJ allure. The bold hour markers are even stronger than on the sport models, giving me the impression i'm looking at an OP dial. The previous dial was perfectly balanced. At least the new case is how it should have always been.

Thank you all! As some noted, it is a dark rhodium dial. I guess in certain lighting with the Everose gold hands it might give it a little bit of a brown hue. I can’t wait to see more incomings for these!

I agree it’s a sexy piece, I’m glad that Rolex slimmed it down. I especially like the Rhodium Dial. Very tasteful

So can I just ask, when you say the new style 36mm, is this something new? Have they changed the dimensions or something?

Is it different to a DJ36 produced say 3 years ago?

Thanks

Yes. They came out with a newly designed case at Basel World 2018. The lugs and sides are now slimmer. Harder to tell in photos, but in person it’s pretty easy to see the difference. Note however, that they only brought this new version out in two tone, so the stainless and solid gold models still have the casing as all the other modern ones. I assume next year they will come out with SS and full PM versions with the new casing.

Wow, that looks fantastic. Always liked the 36mm size on the DJ, will have to consider those vs. the DJ41 rhodium dial.

It looks very nice, Mr.President.

I would like to know (if it is possible) your wrist measurement. I considered the watch well balanced with your wrist.

Congratulations.
