As I was leaving El Paso in March I received a call that my AD had a "Bruno" (that is what they are calling the black and blue) in stock. I was already on the highway so I had to pass. A month later I found out that Rolli is releasing the Pepsi (its white gold and $40000) but hey, a boy can dream!

Hands Down the GMT - BTW, I ordered a Black BEZEL for my GMT from my AD and switched them out for a little while. Its a nice feature that isn't replicated in the current models.

Hah cool story. Sounds like a blnr is still calling your name!

I've been following these GMT v. Sub threads for almost a month trying to make up my mind! I currently have a 16610 that I am trading in for the either the GMT iic or the Sub C. Love my Sub but the new upgrades have been calling my name for almost a year! My local AD is getting both models in tomorrow!!

Will probably end up picking the Sub C just because of the micro adjustments on the new glide lock--Awesome--and I'm just not sure about the PCL and the huge gmt numbers on the bezel. Will post pics tomorrow when the winner speaks!

True, but it's not like the GMT is a rare model either.

I can't answer the subc vs. gmt2c question.

Among YG models, 116718 with green dial wins
Among TT models, Bluesy wins
Among SS models, Hulk wins

Sub C! Originality !
GMT aqua Terra is nicer than GMT iic whereas
Sub is better than Seamaster in craftsmanship
and appeal.

Submariner is my vote.

I do not like polished center links, and I do not believe in modifying my watches either. Current iteration of the GMT lost a bit of the "character" of prior models, IMHO.

Still deciding between these two (don't own a Rolex yet!!) Was at my AD today comparing them and I really like the PCL on the GMT, however to me the Sub c is just more attractive, I'm not sure why. I would be worried about the PCL getting scratched easily. The GMT blue-black is really awesome looking though.

Interesting seeing the GMT has a slight edge at the pole results. Both amazing watches.

GMT all day, has a more useful function and like all other Rolex pieces is waterproof enough for most people. My #1 travel watch. Also feels great and easier to dress up.

I feel the cleaner bezel, water resistance, and price of the Sub make it more attractive to me.

GMT every day of the week. Subs have always looked annoyingly lop-sided to me (which is why I flipped the first and only one I ever owned), and if I'm anywhere close to being more than 100m under water it means I'm already dead.

A little surprised the GMT is beating out the Sub. I love both, but would have thought the Sub would be ahead on this one.
