Blue Dive Watche

I have been a long time viewer of this forum but this will be my first post, please forgive me if this question has already been posted there is a lot to go through when you search. Specific to dive watches, I really want to add a stainless steel blue dial and bezel to my small collection. I love the Rolex smurf but in white gold it is out of my realm of affordable. There are really three that I have been considering and would like the people of this forum’s opinion.

1) Blancpain Fifty Fathoms ref #5015D-1140-52B
2) Omega Planet Ocean ref #215.33.44.21.03.001
3) Omega Seamaster 300M from Baselworld 2018 ref #210.30.42.20.03.001

Thanks for your opinions!

Those are all good choices. Breitling and Tudor also make a blue dive watches.

Nah.

But either Omega would be good.

Not really a comparison between Omega and Tudor. The Tudor history really falls flat and no real claim to fame let alone history.

POs are awesome.

Seamaster for me, I own one (the current one not the Baselworld one)

black Submariner is what I want next.

I think the Omega blue is one of the best. Have the Seamaster 300M and the 300 "vintage"

Thank you all for the comments. I am a little surprised that no one pick the Fifty Fathoms but either way I adore all these watches. The more I watch and read reviews on PO the more I like it.

I own(ed) many watches over my lifetime. The titanium PO honestly may be one of the best I've experienced. It simply checks all the boxes for me. That one gets my vote.

Blancpain FF of course, for me the coolest dive watch on the market with the AP ceramic diver, both have particular design which makes it impossible to mistake them with any other diver, in any case much more original and more interesting than a Rolex sub, even better than a Smurf, it has a really unique look, the sapphire bezel is amazing, I wanted one for myself but the watch doesn't sit nice on my wrist, so definitely a watch to try before buying, but if it had sat normally on my wrist I would definitely have gotten one

Have you looked at the Omega 300 Master Co-axial Ti? Really kicking myself now for going with the standard SS vs the Ti now..

The BP is the finest of the watches but doesn’t get much love due to the pricing. It has the most history of about any dive watch out there but BP sorta prices themselves out of the market. To me it’s by far the best looking. With that said I’d go Planet Ocean

The titanium PO blue is a sweet looking watch! That would get my vote or the Tudor pelagos.

I am sure as a lot of people, I am hoping that Rolex releases a Stainless Steel Smurf this year as this would be my “current” dream watch. I’m not counting on it but a guy can wish. That being said I have ruled out the Seamaster 300m. Does anyone have any comparison pictures of the Seamaster 600m blue next to the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms blue?

Thank you in advance!

I made the switch from the blue Tudor Pelagos to the blue Titanium PO and haven't regretted it at all.

I agreed it was one of the best/most comfortable until I added the micro adjustable clasp. All I can say is this is the clasp it should have come with brand new. I can now say it is the perfect watch in my opinion now.

I like the Omegas, but don't have experience with the Blancpain, so I cannot compare them. Both Omegas are more attainable, for sure. One thing that bothers me is heavy watches that tend to wobble a bit on the wrist. The older SMPs are great for balance and size for me. (How much do the PO and new SMP weigh? I've looked lots of places and haven't found a source to tell me. Any info is appreciated!)

That is one handsome watch. Just a tad of color on the lettering and second hand tip. Perfect size for me is the 39.5mm. A little thick but still nice.

Tudor? No way. It's a generic Rolex substitute with little acclaim of its own. And a goofy hour hand.
