DD40 President 1.25 link price vs fit!?

Evening TRFers. Wondering if anyone with DD40 has purchased the 1.25 "large" link? I realized this past week that in extreme heat, combined with salty food and maybe a few drinks ;) my wrist swells to a point which makes the Presi a wee bit uncomfortable.

Adding a regular link makes it too large for normal wear so I figured 1.25 is the way to go. Heading to RSC tomorrow to pick one up for a whopping $1000. Looking for some feedback, anyone found themselves in a similar situation? Happy with the 1.25?

As always, thanks in advance for the feedback

I got one form my AD. It made for the perfect fit. As for costs, my AD didn't charge me. I've heard others say it should be around $600 US for gold.

Yowza! Maybe that's why many of us have worn DD's a little loose

1 link is around £4/500 so I guess one and quarter is £600ish so around $1K.

I have the same issue with my 36mm DD. Took a link out too tight but one more in a little loose. Haven't gotten around to pricing one but $1K seems a little high. You may want to call around or post a WTB thread too. Good Luck!

I have no idea on cost, but this is the issue with the day date and the nautilus.

Rolex are a bit mean with the President bracelet. It is supplied with two links less than the standard bracelets in stainless steel. And, in the UK, each link is £400. Given the great cost of this watch, the bracelet should come at the same size as other Rolex bracelets.
Fortunately mine fits ok, but I don't have a particularly large wrist.

The last I heard (well over a year ago) they were over $800...so I guess the price is in the ballpark. They will occasionally pop up here in the accessories sub forum for a lot less, but that is way hit and miss.

If it enables you to enjoy your watch more, well worth it, my friend. Please let us know how this turns out.

TBO, mine was for a DDII not a DD40.

Think the datejust link is 1 1/2 and not 1 1/4; just ordered one last week.

The large link for the 40DD is £583 in UK, around $830. My AD took my single link and no charge for the large link. I still have 2 normal links if necessary. The large link makes all the difference.

$850CDN plus tax is about $960. Going to reach out to AD and see if he will swap for less. Good call. Thanks

I need a half link for my Pt DD2. Seeing as they don't make one in half increments, I'd have to buy two 1.25 links. IIRC it's $1,250. Each.

That is amazing mate - just shows the value of developing a good relationship with your AD!

DD40 1.25 link no longer available.

Called Rolex (UK) this morning and was informed that the DD40 1.25 link is not an option. Has anybody elsewhere in the world had better luck?

I have had one on my WG DD40 and my Platinum DD40, makes the bracelet a perfect fit. Only down side is the Platinum one is the equivalent of over $2100!

Not sure who you spoke to, but the 1.25 link, referred to as “large link” is available for all President DD40 bracelets.

Would love the 1.25 link, but cannot justify the cost (but can justify a 30k+ watch )

The games the mind plays...
