Icon5 Quick question: Sapphire vs Acrylic on 1990's Tudors (B-Serial and Forward)

Do Tudors, B-serial, have sapphire or acrylic crystals? 1990's+ I'm talking about, and information online seems to conflict.

Some people online say sapphire, some say acrylic, others say acrylic originally with aftermarket sapphire. So confused.

Were the original 1990's Tudors (specifically 1996-97, B7XXXXX) ORIGINALLY placed with sapphire or acrylic?

A quick yes or no would be very helpful -- just bought a 1996-97 Tudor 72033 Oysterdate 18K for my Bro (who wears a damn timex) but acrylic feels cheap to him, so I hope it's sapphire. Seller says it's sapphire, but idk.

Thanks so much!
