New watch coming!

I just ordered one of these:

http://dfreemontwatches.com/boston_tp.htm

Looks pretty nice at a moderte price. I have had other watches from David and have been pleased with them, especially at their price pernt. It should be here this week!

I am also awaiting return of my 1972 Accutron Spaceview which just had a tune up and adjustment to run on the modern 1.5v battery. No other service was needed. It's all original except for the hands, which are not the right style. The man who repaired it has an eye out for the proper hands. Sooner or later I will get them.

Very nice looking and clean dial Bob. I also like the brand's initials at the 7 o'clock position.

Enjoy your new watch, and wear in good health. I am not very familiar with that brand, but looks very classic is design!

Thanks! I plan to post some photos for you when I get it. Should be this week. Haven't gotten any shipment info yet. They are probably off for the holiday.

Wonder what color straps, other than black, would be cool with the grey dial. Maybe burgundy. I'll have a look in my strap box...it comes with a strap called "coffee color."

I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw the pic in your link. Of course when you put it on, the burgandy might look like dookie. Don't know unless you try

Yeah, I think i'll just have to try the straps when I get the watch. Someone suggested tan, but it doesn't sound like it would look good with the grey dial. But we'll see. I have enough colors of straps to check out the major colors. I just may not have a 20mm in all colors. Once I see how they look together I can place an order with RHD or Sirtoli.

How about these straps? They look like they'd go with just about anything!

Bob, I told you that you could borrow my favorite straps, now I want them back.

Watch arrived today! I am impressed with the fit and finish of the case, movement, and dial. I think this is really a bargain and I plan on having it a long time. I changed the strap and used a double pushbutton deployant instead of the single friction deployment that it came with.

Even if I give it away, I lose $445. I've lost a lot more than that on watches I've sold once the thrill had worn off. With no middleman, no factory overhead, very little advertising, essentially no payroll, etc, the price is quite reasonable.

This is a well made piece, not junk. I am very pleased.

I agree with Daren. It looks even better in real life than in the ad. And I especially like the "df" logo at the 7 position. Adds a nice touch to the dial. Good looking strap on it also.

Wear it in good health and enjoy, Bob.

Burgundy strap

Well this is a Sirtoli Angelo burgundy, but it's 19mm not 20mm. I will wear this awhile and if I like it, which I do so far, I will order the 20mm. Anyone need a 19mm burgundy strap?

I think it looks better than the brown one...
