Chrono24 question

Hi All - if a new domestic (US) seller from Chrono24 is selling a watch, price is fully priced market price no deals here, is there any way a buyer can get scammed?

I have bought from reputable sellers, but never from 0 feedback new seller.

thank you

You need to buy the seller first; if chrono24 seller has no feedback would look elsewhere

I would never ever buy from a 0 feedback, new seller. What assurance do you have that you won’t get an empty box ??

I only would buy from 5 star rated dealers with many (>50) reviews.

That's actually a pretty common question. I bought a 14060M from a first time private seller in Aug '19. He's a non watch guy selling an unworn wedding gift from his father in law in 2012. I did my best to buy the seller and asked to speak on the phone first. I guess I believed his story and he believed mine as he was thinking I may scam him by switching movements. He also said I was the first private buyer as he had 3 dealers call to low ball him. Anyway C/24 held my funds and followed the shipping all the way. Only after I approved the watch did they release my CC funds. That one turned out to be one of my best buys as he went down 10% to my offer after we spoke.
Buy the Seller!

As others have said... You have to buy the seller. When buying online, site unseen, you are always at a risk.

Definitely not saying that these type of sales don't work out just fine because many many do.

good think about chrono is the escrow service. you can always buy and take literally weeks of time to do your inspections.
but yeah, to save headache, buy the seller if you can.
all sellers started with 0 feedback though

What they said... buy the seller. I purchased from CH24 and like mentioned above your money is safe until you ok the payment..

After watching a few recent YouTube videos on how well copies are now, I am sticking with ADs and waiting as long as it takes.
