YG DD40 Silver vs White Dial?

Title pretty much says all.....only really interested in these two and can’t go anywhere right now to see in person. Anybody who owns one of these care to share some pics/opinions? Or if by some slim chance you have a pic of both side by side that would be incredible

I don't own one, but my personal preference would be the white. It's such a clean combo

White! I saw the 2 side by side and picked white as it pops more. Silver is gorgeous too; you can’t go wrong with either.

Silver romans. You get best of both worlds. It looks white but has that extra sunburst factor and really plays off well with the gold romans. I have one incoming shortly and can post pics later this week.

My only concern is the white looking ‘washed out’ and not popping with some depth. I see some pics where it looks great and others where it seems a bit dull. cheers:

This is precisely why I’m entertaining the silver.....and Romans of course, I don’t think a DD is complete without a Roman dial (well, with a few platinum exceptions, ha).

Why not look into the pyramid dial? It has some good depth to it.

I’ve had this choice in the past. Admittedly, white isn’t my favorite dial, especially the flat or bright white varieties. The more grainy/eggshell/off white (like the OP39) is more what I’d like in a DD. Not that it’s not gorgeous, no wrong answer for a DD, IMO! But, I chose silver when going with a DD....I’ve had the romans and the motif dials, both are spectacular! But, since you’re set on romans...

You couldn't go wrong either way, but I would lean toward the silver.

@ Richard: Gorgeous, brother.

I was caught in the exact same dilemma. Loved the silver but ended up with the white. Both gorgeous and can't miss. Actually I found the white to "pop" a bit more due to the sharper contrast, crisp. It's great problem to have. Good luck!

I'd suggest silver due to the sunburst dial, it's a stunning piece in person.

If I didn't purchase the RG DD40 w/ olive green dial, I would've done YG with silver.

I have a DD36 and I love the white dial.

If I had to go with the DD40 (which I am considering due to the lovely Roman markers) my preference would still be the white-as-porcelain dial!

There is a reason why it is on Rolex’s main page as their flagship model.

Either choice won’t see you go wrong.

Best pics of the YG DD 40 white dial is shown on Rolex.com, they highlight the white dial because it's spectacular. Sharpest contrast, crisp, clean, romans appear to be sculptures on the dial. The day and date text float on the dial because the background is white and blends with the dial color. I was never a white fan but once I saw it in person, sold!

A white dial on white gold looks amazing. Super clean. And among Rolexes it gives it a subtle/incognito look.
