I’m in the Bahamas now and stopped by the John Bull locations downtown, the Baha Mar and the Atlantis and the Rolex selection was slim. I did, however, have a great time with the folks there and picked up the new blue Santos and a Cartier bracelet for the wife. Tried on some nice IWCs, JLCs and even a few Pateks.

Congrats on the Santos! Sounds like you had a nice trip.

Love bracelet for the wife? Did they give any discount? In Grand Cayman they give you 5 percent off if you’re staying at the Ritz.

Post pics!

Surely shopping will be part of some of the visits.

My assumption is that the ADs there operate a bit more like the airport ADs, whereby they may put popular SS models on the shelf once they get it.

I may be completely wrong. Any experiences in any of these locations? please share.

I've heard that those AD's are more willing to bring out the hot stock if you buy a PM piece too.

Nothing SS in the John Bull store in the Bahamas. I was there a couple of weeks ago. However, my cousin has bought a hand full of SS in same store. They are the same as the U.S dealers. They have hot watches for customers that have dropped a good dime in the store.

The Royal shop carries Rolex. There are two locations, the cruise ship wharf and Bridgetown. They've been picked over just like every other AD in the world, but you never know, you might get lucky. I know someone who got a BLNR there but that was before things got really crazy.

They're tax free in both locations if you have your passport.

You can check Kirk Freeport. They have several locations on the island. I was there a couple weeks ago and don't recall seeing an AK or Sub.

Go to Wacky Wahoos -- not a for a Rolex, but for great fish!

Stopped into the Rolex AD in Tortola BVI today... Only a few professionals:
- YG sub black dial
- sky dwellers - TT and RG options
- yachy2
The rest were mostly datejusts

Hitting St Thomas tomorrow
Hoping for some WG action.

I wish you the best of luck. I hit the Caribbean ADs regularly (very regularly) just because my job puts me here.

There is no untapped market. Don't be surprised when they say no.

Update: St Thomas certainly had more than I expected them to. Some nice RH DDs, yachy2's, and there is a white gold with blue dial Daytona in stock, I just had to ask. They also sold a smurf white gold sub yesterday (one day late!).

As for my luck... Thanks!! It paid off. Not WG but.... here's my new baby!!

PS - lots of Patek across the street also. Worldtime+chronos, 37.5" RG Pilot travel time, no Nautilus or aquanauts of course.

I was at Baha Mar in the Bahamas a few weeks ago and the AD had a Datejust 41 in all stainless steel with Jubilee, Smooth bezel and Rhodium dail. lt was also offered at the old retail price of 7500. Retail is now 7900 on that watch since the price increase from Rolex.

You're heading to places where the rich locals buy this stuff for fun as a clock on the boat. The shop owners are not mugs.
It's very difficult to land popular watches as a tourist in the Caribbean. As someone with a place out that way. But good luck and a nice excuse for a trip. Be safe and get tested. Please don't spread nasties to those beautiful islands.

Thanks for the info, so now I will not get my hopes up too high. I am vaccinated and for now it is mandatory to be tested five days before entering the country but maybe by August those restrictions will no longer be in place.
