A wedding ring immune to fashion clashes with any watch you wear.

Already have some great answers, but I will give my thoughts.

First, congratulations on getting married! I think the really awesome part is that your dad gave you his ring which adds a lot more memories and love to the event.

I think that having a watch match the ring is not needed. I have seen plenty of friends rock a yellow gold ring with a normal SS watch, others rock a white gold ring with a yellow gold watch, and others wear any combination of metal, rock, and material with anything else you can think of on the wrist. In fact, many people really do not pay attention to it for it to really matter.

Keep rocking the SS and the YG ring, and enjoy the honeymoon!

Looks good on you!
But if you don't like the combo, just wear the ring on the other hand.

Congrats on the marriage!

Congratulations on your marriage! I wear a yellow gold ring with SS watches and don't see anything wrong with it.

Wore a 18k YG ring for 11 years with my 16610, then bought a platinum ring which looks better with the SS and WG watches I own.

My wedding band from the ceremony is YG and I wore it for several years with SS watches. I am big on matching metals as I think for me the look is more complete. That includes belt buckles, eyeglass frames, cufflinks, hardware on briefcases, bracelets, necklaces etc. You get the idea. My wife suggest that I get a white metal wedding ring and we started to look. I tried on platinum, WG and several other metals and in the end I went with a $40 SS basic band. I wear it more than anything else and it is amazing in how it holds up. I still have my YG ring and will wear it on occasion with my YG watch but not much. If you are asking, you know. Go pick yourself up a nice silver wedding ring. It will be a nice addition.

On my wedding i opted for platinum marriage band, works perfectly with my SS watch.

That’s a really cool combo that you have there

I like it

Your ring, your ink and your watch comprise who you are. Be you. And IMO it’s perfect, don’t change anything!!

I was able to get my yellow gold ring "dipped" into white gold. It took less than a week, and less than $100 dollars. It eventually wears off after a couple of years, but can be redone easily. Any jeweler can do it.

It’s gold. Whenever I look down I feel like it clashes with a SS watch. Does anyone else rock a gold wedding band / SS piece?

Maybe I’m just not used to it yet, but like the look of it way better without the watch on.

(Maybe its time to upgrade to PM lol)

P.s please leave out the negative comments about the ink lol

First, congratulations on the wedding

You are overthinking it Andre, and most likely because you are not used to wearing a ring on that finger.

Give it time and it will become a non issue . I wore a YG wedding ring with SS watches for 18 years, and neither I, nor anyone else, noticed.

I now wear a rose and white gold wedding ring (and have done so for the past 5 years) and don't give the material or colour of my watch a second thought.

I never liked my YG wedding band so I switched to a white gold and platinum band years ago. I still keep my YG band for sentimental reasons, but why wear something you don't like?

OTOH, if you like the YG band, wear it and enjoy it with your SS watch. Wear what you like and don't let other opinions bother you.

What ink? lol

Seriously though, you don't have to match your jewelry brother, especially a man. You have a classic watch and a classic wedding band. You are set. Will you need a black groove ring (ha I've seen hundreds of youtube ad's for this) when you need to wear a g-shock to the gym? Get me? It looks great and congrats!

I wouldn't sweat it either. Honestly, those that notice the watch won't look at anything else, and those that notice the ring could care less about your watch!

Your tattoos are so vibrant and eye catching that most will hardly notice even the beautiful BLRO , let alone the wedding ring (congrats by the way) and definitely no mismatch between the too.

It’s nice when wedding ring matches watch but it’s fine if it doesn’t.

Congrats on the nuptials! I had similar concerns with the new Rootbeer and a gold wedding band but after seeing yours - and wearing the CHNR for a month - no concern. Wear both the ring and the watch in good health.

The watch matches the tattoos!

Get your own white gold ring to wear. The yellow gold ring from your dad is nice for a keepsake.

Congratulations!

To me, I would have a hard time ascribing relevant meaning to a “backup” ring that matches my watch. It would be a ring, but it wouldn’t be MY ring that carries all the meaning and emotion with it. Just not the same as the one that you actually receive on your wedding day. In any case, I don’t think that matching matters at all when it comes to wedding rings.

In terms of watches, you’ve heard YG DD and YG Sub suggestions here, but as a man with ink I would suspect you’d quite like the look of two tone on your wrist as well. Definitely try a TT DJ or bluesy and report back with photos!

Don't sweat it. I wear a 16710 "Pepsi" at work with my uniform that has gold and a silicon wedding band that is grey in color. Totally fine.

Congratulations btw

When things look like they go together you get conformity, which for me, is clinical and vanilla.

A bit of chaos makes things interesting. As a man with a tattoo sleeve surely you subscribe to this philosophy.

Just get an inexpensive tungsten ring on amazon. They are like $20 and come in a variety of colors/options. I have 5 of them.

I wear a rose gold wedding band with all types of watches from SS to Nato, etc. I think with the ring being a much smaller presence relative to the watch, it is not a big deal at all. I've never really cared nor has anyone ever mentioned anything/commented, etc.

I've toyed with the idea of getting an ever-rose Rolex or something but it is not worth it in my opinion (based on my own tastes, etc).

Hope that helps
