The figures for people who have tested positive for Covid19 keep rising, but once you recover you still show on the official figures. By that rate the number of people who have had a headache is 6 billion.

If you sing Covid19 to the tune Come on Eileen it scans perfectly. That is all I can hear now.

It is likely to become more serious, so should the government tell the people most vulnerable to self isolate?

No, not fabricated panic. 12 to 17 thousand deaths is a lot, the swine flu was no joke, but those 12 to 17 thousand deaths were from more than 41 million cases.

Now we have about 144 thousand corona virus cases and more than 5000 deaths. This is not fabricated and it is not something we have become accustomed to. This is far more deadly than the swine flu. If 50 million people become infected it is logical to expect more than one million deaths. It will make 911 look like a garden party. The total number of American deaths in WWII was for example less than 1 million. Do what you can to protect yourself.

From what I remember people were freaking out over swine flu too. Not to the level of these massive shutdowns, but it was definitely the talk of the town.

It is nice to see that people are at least trying to understand this and keep it in perspective.

I wish more had been done sooner and people who have definitely been exposed to carriers of the virus should be tested or at least self isolate. Especially those who are in contact with large groups of people and people who are of vital importance to running the country. Yes, that includes Donald Trump.

There is a shutdown coming... These things are usually announced on weekends to help mitigate the effects. Expect a minimum of 14 days. Some 'Transportation ' companies are telling their employees to prepare.
If it does not happen, it will be a blessing.
