Brand new unsized 26331 panda for 45k. That’s less than 20% premium from MSRP+tax.

People who think this is the bottom are delusional at this point. This particular reference (among others) was astronomically high early 2022

Used Submariner 126619LB Cookie Monster (2021) $33K
>$10K below retail + tax

Unless it's a dream watch there is no point in touching any PM Rolexes at your AD at this point unless it's a rare meteor dial or equivalent.

How about that yellow gold green lacquer dd40. How is it hanging on to 60k in secondary?!

It may be the bottom with lateral light fluctuations until the end of the year (greys trying to skim everything they can while they can with xmas narrative). But I also think it will continue to go down in 2023 once xmas is behind and the FED continues its work. :)

No worries and appreciate the above. Like I said, I blame most of this on the toxicity that is the current market. Looking forward to one day talking watches (not watch prices) with you on here.

Yes, at one point this watch was being listed for over $100k.

Complete respect for you sir - A real man

Vince and all, thanks again for posting levels so some of us may have hope someday at buying near retail (hope). I am sure these more recently posted levels make some of our AP heavy owners less comfortable so I get it.

Thanks again

Thanks for the kind words. Another data point:

15550 BNIB for 32.5k. That’s less than 20% premium from MSRP+tax as well. Also note that this is a 50th… so there will be a double reckoning next year (no 50th, and still no end to price drops in sight).

I hope you do not consider Panerai or IWC part of your higher horology alternatives to Rolex

I didnt mention any brands. I said....and I quote..."to each their own". You're the one passing judgement on what others choose to buy.

LOL I like rolex but it's not exactly high horology, it's a very popular luxury brand with a nice in house movement but that's it. to be honest IWC manufacturers more complicated in house movements than rolex.

Yeah, I thought it was an objective fact that Rolex is not considered "high horology." Doesn't Omega make more complicated and better movements than Rolex?

I want to be clear, since this subject originated from one of my earlier posts, what I mentioned in that post was not an attempt to claim that IWC and Panerai are on the same level of Rolex. Instead, I was just mentioning those brands because of how much of a better experience the folks I was with had at those stores. The SAs blew the arrogant and rude Rolex SAs we talked to that day out of the water and they actually had pieces to buy and try on.

I was trying to speak to the success rate this CPO program will have. Many on here claim there are so many wealthy people who will be happy to pay 2-5x MSRP for a CPO piece because they have so much money and the price difference doesn't mean much to them. Well, that wasn't the case for the wealthy people I know (three comma club) who own multiple Rolexes. The treatment by staff and delta between CPO and MSRP was a huge turn off to them.

Rolex is a very popular brand for this exact reason you mentioned. They stick to there brand roots and identity; THEY DO THIS BETTER THAN ANY OTHER BRAND. They innovate incrementally in technology and design, putting out better products across there model lines, take away the dial and you can immediately identify it's a Rolex by its aesthetics. Even the new Sky-dweller, I guarantee it'll be recognizable in later generations.

You can't compare IWC perpetual calendars to Rolex's. Go compare IWC perpetual calendars to Pateks.

I saw the AP listed as well. It was sold for 44k.
It was first listed end of October for 55k, but didn’t sell then.

I Agree, CPO will start to backfire if it remains same as now. Wealthy are not wealthy because they are stupid with their money

Looking forward to some new data points from Moda.

That said forum has a new 77600TI LE basically at retail plus tax (price dropped 20% in a month).

11.59 QP is now being offered at 79k (basically almost 30%!! off retail) and still no offers...

Wonder where the bottom is after xmas...

Our of curiosity, any 5510V or 7910V Everest models floating around on Moda? Still seeing 2-3x MSRP out in the wild

those are ultra exclusive watches limited to 150 pieces, I don't think those are a good gauge for the market trend. last one I saw was at 2X retail last week.

Agreed, it was just a curiosity. 2X retail is actually not bad if it is on the dual time.

Are we even sure it sold for that much? Good chance the buyer negotiated a lower price behind the scenes.

Exactly. Therefore “sold” prices on moda should be skeptically viewed as a ceiling. Particularly in today’s environment.

no one is touching the super high priced pieces. the new 5712r (full gold) which was listed at $200K a few weeks ago has been relisted for $188K and still not moving.

5980 full gold sitting at 190K (one sold for $168K a few weeks ago I think). This piece was >$300K earlier this year and looks like it's trending back to the pre-covid range of $120K-$140K where it likely will settle.

Folks expecting a significant rally in watch prices next year need to accept that the investor / flipper psyche has been completely rattled and they're not coming back in any time soon IMO. But watch enthusiasts like myself are making our shopping list :)

Full set Pepsi on jubilee (decent condition) for $17.25k. Where was the dude who said these were in the 19’s and have recently increased?

16-handle and below very soon. Just wait until 2023 - these will stabilize in the low teens.
