Connecticut Meet 2010 !!!
Good day everyone !!
Well, I figured I'd get a CT meet going Seems to me that we have quite a few members local to CT, and I'd LOVE to meet everyone (even those not from CT and want to join is fine as well obviously lol). If anyone wants to attend or is interested in going to a meet in CT (I'm up to driving anywhere in the state, even though I live in Tolland County). We just have to figure out where, when, etc. Any comments/suggestions please feel free to let me know ! I'd suggest sometime in maybe late May ? As for an AD the only ones I've been to here in CT is Lux Bond, but we definitely don't have to meet at an AD, maybe just have a lunch get together ?? (I'd actually prefer that anyway). Lets hear some suggestions, so we can get the ball rolling ! Mike |

If I still lived in Worcester, I would have definitely tried to go. I'm in Southern NH now, but I'll keep checking this thread, maybe the dates and distance will work out.
Either way, have a good time! |

Well, according to Map-quest, Orange is approx. 54.48 miles from Vernon and would take a 1 hour and 4 minutes to drive there lol
I'm willing to meet wherever, preferably (when/if we get others to get involved as well) a central location to everyone in CT. Maybe somewhere in Farmington (Westfarms Mall area), or somewhere in the center of the state ( maybe somewhere near the Hartford area) ??? I'm up for anything, but a few of my buddies hang out at a bar/restaurant in Weathersfield (on the Sails Dean Highway) called Humphrey's. They have flat panel TV's in every room (the main room has like 8) and they have good food as well as a good atmosphere. If anyone is up for that on lets say July sometime ? |

I think a CT GTG is a great idea. Count me in! Although I am in Fairfield county everything's driving distance to me.

I'm from Boston and would be willing to drive to CT. My vote would be a sports bar or some other casual restaurant. What about somewhere in Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods? Also, I think you mean Sunday, July 11th.
Cheers, |

I'm in. I heard that the Food TV chef Bobby Flay has a burger joint at Mohegan Sun. If true, let's meet there.

I'll be taking pictures with my new iPhone 4 As for the restaurants, I have no clue about the Bobby Flay one. I know they have a Michael Jordan steak place ( mucho $$$$ ), so the Flay one must be newer. |

Just checking to see if the meet on July 11th is still happening ??
Let's get a head count to see who will be in attendence. Worse comes to worst we can always push the gtg back to the beginning of next month or so, in case too many members cannot make it. Well, that and I also have to make my schedule for next week so I have to know by 11am tomorrow what's happening :) Mike |

Ok, so we do still have a few members going.
My father will probably come along for the ride as well (he's into watch himself). I work until 12 noon, so I can probably be AT the Casino around 1:30 - 2PM, but am definitely still willing to meet up with everyone ! A quick coffee and donut will do for me though, since I have to be back out the door fairly quick :( But, like I said, I definitely want to meet the CT'ers for at least a little bit :) |

Just caught this thread, and I'm in CT also. Lets see if we can do something this fall perhaps? Plan in advance, so we can all get there?
Best, Tom |
