London: GTG - Pub Lunch?

Hey,
I am in London for a visit in July..

I have already passed it by Spuds (Dan)....so, what about a possible Pub Lunch GTG...????

I was thinking around Sat 3rd July...2pm - 4pm.....Totally provisional....also thought of venue as:

Churchill Arms,
119 Kensington Church Street
London W8 7LN, United Kingdom
020 7727 4242

nearest tube is Hight St Kensington....good traditional ale house

What do you say???? Any interest from the London/near London TRFers????

My bad, Dalip. It was The Shakespeare Pub just off Trafalgar Square that was less than impressive.
Next time I'll try The Churchill.

Personally I'd heartily recommend The Dickens Inn
http://www.dickensinn.co.uk/index.php

The Dickens Inn
Marble Quay
St Katharines Way
London
E1W 1UH

(& guess who's firm just happened to lay all the paving outside?!? )

BUT if Dalip can make it all the way from Oz' I'm happy to meet wherever suits him!!
(& I'm sure the other UK guys will be too!!)

Hey Dan....looks like a great spot...love pubs down that way also....

But main reason I'm choosing Churchill is so Alison can come say hello and then go off shopping with the little one leaving us to get on with watch talk and plenty of beer!!! (shopping is good round there!) Then come back and pick me up!!!

Thats cool mate...Yep....used to live in London...been out here for around 8 years....Churchill is close to the parks also so great for Alison and the nipper....didn't frequent it much..tended to go locally in hammersmith and fulham...but when I did it was a good spot and central enough without being too touristy...

By the way...great job on the paving mateLooks like a massive project.....

Hope you're headed for a good summer....

Guys, This looks like it's going to be a great time. Philly used to have a Dickens Inn, which was also associated with Cedric Dickens too, back in the 1980s. You could get some great meat pies there!
Wish I could be there, looks great!
