Nice ride - I’ve always found button operated power tailgates very handy but never had a foot operated one.

yeah, i just use the button mostly. In theory if your hands are full you can make a kicking motion under the side of the bumper and it opens so you don't have to put what you are carrying down but i didn't quite get the hang of it yet.

I think it’s one of those features that may have limited use in practice until it is handy one day. Heads up display is really a great feature though - that and adaptive (radar) cruise control make driving a real breeze to eat up the miles

First, great to see you back. I was wondering where you were.
Second, beautiful build. Congrats. I absolutely love that thing. Very well done.

flying back and forth a lot as logistics of getting moved is a pain. Plus a ton of houses in Houston flooded in the hurricane and sellers are being super shady and not disclosing and when they get damage fixed under the table w/o notifying insurance its hard to find out, but we have had to pull a few offers and then its back on a plane to look again

Hard for me to comment. I’ve not gotten that far.
But at 26k miles it’s nothing short of exceptional. I’ll update when I hit 35k

Nothing against the Toyota.
But you can’t be serious.

Congratulations! I'm liking the color scheme. The wheels look really good, prefer these over blacked out wheels for this scheme. Enjoy.

Congrats, Tyler! The new RR is a beautiful car and that looks like a really great color. We joke about the reliability, but I hope yours serves you well for many years.

Well, it depends what you’re after. The Land Cruiser is quite lux, but obviously not as nice as a Range Rover. If you want styling, luxury and comfort, I think the RR is hard to beat, but if you want an actual truck that can take you to the end of the world and back, there is no other option besides a Land Cruiser. The G Wagon comes close, I’d say.
There is a reason why the Land Cruiser is the vehicle of choice for the UN, Middle East and just about every African dictator. They are built to last. Don’t believe me? Head over to the Land Cruiser forum and see how many guys own Cruisers with 200k, 300k, even 400k miles. There are even decals that guys stick on their rigs showing off these milestones. It’s a badge of honor to have so many miles and serves as proof that the Land Cruiser is the greatest SUV ever made. Not biased, of course. And honesty, I do like the Range Rover. Beautiful SUVs. |

That said, the OP is about the RR. And if that’s the mind set, there is no substitute. Pros and cons to everything for sure. But luxury combined with comfort combined with ability.... Hard to compete with the FF RR. Just this mans opinion. Biased, but only because LR has won me over in a big way.

Love the color. Contrary to what one might think I have serious doubts Range Rover buyers cross shop land cruisers anymore than Rolex buyers cross shop JLC.

steering assist is the second most useful feature where it gives active corrective steering if you attempt a lane change with a car in your blind spot or you drift out of your lane (Yes i tested it... and yes it worked ). It also vibrates the steering wheel if you cross over a lane(if you haven't put your blinker on) if there isnt a car in your blind spot. All in all its pretty cool technology. Im sure many other vehicles have similar features but the last time i had a vehicle was 2011 and been without while in London so its all new to me

mainly because everything is backwards to me. Ive never attempted driving here for that reason and secondly london is a nightmare to drive in anyway. I dont know any traffic laws here etc. Technically a driving license from a foreign country isnt valid after you have lived here longer than 6 months. So a tourist can rent a car but because i have lived here for years im not legal to drive here anyway.

Love the look of range rovers, must be great to drive too. I wouldn't want to own one out of warranty though.

for a test drive you would choose a dealer out of town, but i agree london is pointless for driving around enjoy the range rover. |

for me it was G wagon which i liked a lot but not as a primary vehicle and the GLS but that one was basically a big car in an SUV body to me and not really an SUV. I liked it, but didn't love it

Congratulations - great car - I am on my second after two RRs
