As long as you keep it totally objective and stick with the facts (yeah, I know, "facts" can be subjective) your conscience is clear. Whether an AD or RSC is capable of dealing with 'criticism' is another issue entirely.

It’s funny, years ago I asked my AD if he was on any forums and it was clear he didn’t browse/participate. However, he’s definitely been on the forums over the last 3-4 years. I think their shop finds all the speculation pretty funny.

Yes. This.

I have no idea if my AD follows TRF. My impression is that my AD (NYC) is filled with salespeople, not WIS. But, I do like them; they have treated me well, and given great customer service.

But I'll never forget, on my first visit years ago, I was wearing a 1968 5513 sub on a brown leather strap, and their reactions and looks on their faces were like, "OMG, get a new (nice) watch, will you?" But then again, the watchmaker on staff polished a scratch off that 50 year old acrylic crystal for me, no charge when I asked him, so not complaining.

My AD has never said anything to me about a post I've made, but I know the owner and the sales person both visit here occasionally. I've never told them my handle, but it probably wouldn't be too difficult to figure out who I am based on my posts and what I've listed as watches I own.

why would anybody want their life to be an open book?

it all sounds pretty creepy to be honest, also people referring to 'their AD' like its their doctor.

Its just someone that sells you a watch and after its over, it should all be pretty forgettable.

I suppose i am not a watch idiot savant.

When you purchase 12 pieces over 10 years you begin to build a relationship. I text with the owner and have fun chatting watches. Sorry for creeping you out.
