I already put it in another post, but since you asked I'll be a broken record - here's my graduation present.
Congrats on yours as well. Most nurses seem to have fragmented bouts of education. I did my BSN then did active duty army for 5 years. When I separated I got started on MSN and certified as a nurse practitioner which was 3 years. I knocked out the graduate certificate over 6 months. I then took a year off from school, then went back for the post msn doctorate of nursing practice which was additional 1.5 years full time while working full time.

So 9 years school from start to finish? Over 14 year time span?

Good luck. I am a adult gerontological acute care nurse practitioner (AGACNP), my practice setting is adult critical care intensive care, and I do prn in the local ED.

Best part is thanks to time served in US Army, post 9/11 gi bill covered all graduate costs. Finishing with 0 in owed expenses!

Post a watch acquisition that required persistence and represents a goal to celebrate!

Most Excellent! Congratulations! I'm a bit behind you in my studies- I finish my MSN in August 2019 (235 days, only 66 work shifts left, but who's counting?). Planning to work as an FNP in my ER's fast track and part-time at a local urgent care.

I rationalized the purchase of 14060 at the completion of my BSN (no debt). No GI Bill for me, and I'll owe about $30k on this degree when I'm done. Will probably buy a BLNR after I pay off the loan.

Again, congratulations. MAJOR accomplishment!

Interesting and congrats. My Grandfather was also a GI bill recipient. Interesting my Dad wasn't or choose to pay his own way, I'll have to follow up.
