PVD Here to stay?

Do you think the Blacked out Rolexs are a fad? or are they here to stay?

This afternoon I came across more and more on the Bay including a Exp II.

I don't think that they are a fad........ there isn't any large clamor to have one, nor are they in demand or of short supply. They are simply a couple of companies idea of a customized watch... with "customized" prices too..

However, perhaps there is a reason why you are seeing more and more of them being off-loaded on the Bay..........

^^ If Randy Jackson has anything to do with it, there will be a Teal Rolex in the line-up unveiled at Basel.

BTW, PVD-type watches have been around for around 40 years............I don't think they are going anywhere, but they may not gain any more popularity in Rolex circles either.

I don't know that they're really "here" to begin with. Not a major fad by any means.

The real test will be when the PVD finish gets scuffed and they start looking like Terminator Zebras...

I wonder how they will sell then...
