5167a magically turned into a 5167r

Got a 5167a a few weeks back. Within 10 mins of me getting the watch on my wrist my beautiful girlfriend somehow managed to get kitchen shears into the case. Ruined the experience for me so I asked the Patek fairy to make it all right and somehow a 5167r ended up under my pillow last night and she made the 5167a and my ocd disappear.

Congrats! Both beautiful! Bummer to get such a ding so early. Was the Patek fairy an AD, your GF, or a a grey dealer?

So I guess that's where the fairy I've been praying to has been...

Congrats! 5167r is my grail. Enjoy it!

You might as well apply those watch protection stickers on it this time though it won’t help if you also hit it with sharp metal

It’s nice! I had a fairy turn my 5167r into a 5164r.

Since I have the 5167/1A I could never justify converting to gold, maybe I should let my cat play with it for a bit.

The rose gold is way softer than stainless so be careful or the ding will be much worse.

Beautiful! What did you do with the 5167A? Did the Patek fairy take it on trade?

I wonder if the folks who do laser welding could fix up your 'a. RolliWorks does some phenomenal work; really did great work on a friend's DSSD after he knocked it into a cinderblock wall and took a gouge out of the case.

Nice move on the 5164R. 5167A was my first Patek, and it's a beautiful piece, but after wearing 18k SkyDweller and 43MM RG Offshore, the weight and thin profile of the 5167 was off-putting. I got the 5164R a few weeks ago, and haven't taken it off. They really nailed it with this one.

Looks great on the black strap too!

They’re not the easiest watches to get. Worth it though

I can’t remember now. I think it’s a 22. Somehow was brand new/ unworn…
Got it about two months ago now. Wanted one for a long time. I remember trying it on at my local dealer about 10 years ago and it was available/ in the case and it was like 45k and I thought that was just crazy money. Wound up paying more than double and felt good about it
