You can pretty much sum this up as both great looking and durable watches.........the main difference is one appreciates in value, year after year..........the other, unfortunately, loses 50% when you walk out the door of the AD.......what a shame!!!!

SteelFish is quite a bargain in the preowned market (considering how much it offers). Cheers.

Nice reviews JP.... I enjoyed the piece on Ebel too as I used to own the mens version of the wave - it was sadly stolen in a burglary and not replaced.
The only Rolex I own is a Sky Dweller - if you find yourself in the UK, you'd be welcome to borrow it for a review. :) PS - Perfect and well written English too! I assume you're Finnish? I am always slightly embarrassed that my fellow Englishmen rarely master another language. |

Thanks, all.
Fish is big, bulky and handsome watch. Never get tired of it.

JP - I own both the 16600 and 126660 JC. Your steelfish looks fantastic! As someone who prefers larger watches, I think I would like it!

No surprise. DeepSea and SteelFish have a lot of common regarding the wrist presence.

Very nice writeup. I wish I had the wrist to support a Steelfish. I've always liked the layout of the dial. I only wish they had a version that was smaller (e.g. 38mm or 40mm.) I know there's the Superocean Steelfish (A17360) that is 42mm which is still a little big for me.

It's the same reason I can't really enjoy my 16570 Explorer II fully. I almost wish I had smaller wrists because it's a perfect watch. Just a little bit too small for me.

I had owned the A17390 44mm Superocean Steelfish for a short period. I own a few Breitlings and Rolex watches now. One of my favorite out of my whole collection was the A17390. Currently own the newer model A17391 however I prefer the metal bezel hands down. I agree with your review. The steelfish is one of the best divers and best bang for the buck. I made a big mistake when I sold it. Looking to get another one someday.

Why doesn't Bentley ever put a rolex in their dashes but they put a breitling? Doesn't that say something? The steelfish is great as an all around watch as I could easily wear it for both casual and formal wear outfits.

Good review
My Steelfish is one of my oldest and most worn watches
