Breitling collection expanded

Having owned a Superoceanabout 18 months ago that I ended up selling to fund a Rolex has been a regret of mine ever since.
Realizing that I like Breitling much more than Rolex, I had a opportunity to sell it and fund my passion - Superocean's.
So in this past week I purchased these 3 brand new from a AD. I have a orange on order. Happy days!

I'm glad you were able to make this happen, Wayne! Breitling is a great brand and I've considered doing this as one point, getting another Chrono SuperOcean. Can't wait to see when the orange arrives! Enjoy in good health

I am considering collecting those as well, are they as comfortable as the standard SO? Is the added thickness a issue? Love to hear you opinions.

I can't speak to the other SuperOcean but can say the comfort and of course quality is top notch! I'm used to thicker watches as I've got another Chronograph (Omega 2225.80). Next up for me is a Planet Ocean Chronograph 9900 but I might buy the limited edition Chrono SuperOcean or the black dial version.

As far as diameter goes it wears small and is extremely versatile. Certainly a thicker watch but nothing out of the ordinary for a divers Chronograph. Absolutely love this watch and can assure you pictures don't do it justice!

Thanks for the insight, I am looking at that exact watch with a black dial. They are very nice. Probably one of my favorites. The Omega's are very nice as well. But I'm kinda liking the Breitling a little more myself. Love the day/ date.

The A13340 is such a nice piece! There are certainly traits of the Breitling I prefer. For me this watch has a story behind it because many years ago, back in 2010 I wanted one of these SO bad. Reasonably priced pre-owned watches from a very well known brand took my focus away.

Since the aforementioned brand changed and lost my interest it opened window of opportunity. I went all out collecting for the past year and have to say that some reputable eBay sellers in Japan had some great deals on these with the Pro II bracelet like mine. Breitling confirmed it was serviced two years ago when I provided the serial number over the phone with Breitling Canada. Quite the contrast to my experience with Omega / Swatch for gathering info on a pre-owned piece.

That's one heck of a collection, Nik! I'm kicking myself for not focusing on this brand from years ago. I remember some watches 10 years ago could be had for some very attractive prices. The variety offered by this brand is incredible, especially for the discontinued watches.

I remember a fellow watch enthusiast told me this downtown Toronto one day. Never have I understood the true quality and versatility of Breitling until mine landed. The finishing is impeccable and so much more.

Also, I seem to recall Jerry Seinfeld being a Breitling fan for some reason.

I have a rolex deepsea and yachtmaster which are my two favorite rolex models. Up until the deepsea came out every rolex felt cheap and flimsy to me compared to even my cheapest breitling. Breitling is my favorite watch.

I can totally relate and it's why I sold off my 5 digit reference piece years ago to get the GMT. The Deepsea is an incredible piece, and I'm particularly fond of the James Cameron version.

As a watch collector who appreciates the mechanical Chronograph it would a shame to not have one from Breitling of all brands.

That Emergency is such a cool piece! An appeal that's unmatched by anything else out there.

Love the watch! I went with the rubber with clasp because I love the glidelock style adjustment. Thinking about getting another though, and might try the bracelet. Are there sufficient micro adjustments on the bracelet?

Yes there is micro adjustments. All my bracelets are P3 except the Navitimer. I have to say, I like them MUCH more than the Oyster bracelet. P3 are very conforming and the clasp is much smaller and works very well. Of course all of mine are the brushed version.

The blue dial version. I've never seen one before, is it stamped, engraved, or sapphire?

It is laser engraved and flatter than the Aybss or chronograph versions. Watch head sits pretty low on the wrist. Very comfortable.

Very nice! I like what they did with that and it looks incredibly smooth. The piece just oozes quality, this is what a bracelet/ watch should be.

Yes, feels very solid. It will sit just perfect on the wrist, Bracelet makes it well balanced. I have absolutely zero problem with the B17 movement as well. Perfect +1 sec. per day on every one I have owned. And the crystal is stunning to put it mildly. It's so clear and glare free it's like it doesn't even have one.

I have yet to see a crystal as clear as what Breitling uses. Omega is close. Sooo much better than other brands that don't speak "AR" IMO.

And the Lume! Last all night long and then some with just a minute charge with a flash light. I don't know if they changed that or not. But it's VERY impressive.

Now you just talked yourself into taking a lume shot.

None of that surprises me really, I would love to see one of these in person. Isn't it amazing what we've discovered after the focus was taken off of other brands?

I feel bad for the few young watch enthusiasts left. It's a lot harder to find cool entry level watches now than it was just 10 years ago. Luckily brands like Fortis still have a few options within reach for them.

This could partially explain the shift in Breitling's marketing. Pro surfers and seemingly a bit more focus on dive watches.

My guess is the AD sized the bracelet for you. I have to say, having done this myself it was the best way for me to truly experience the quality of these bracelets.

Don't forget to post a lume shot when you can!

Congrats! That’s a fantastic SO collection! I’m also a huge Breitling fan, although I only have one now (an Avenger chrono).

Okay, here it is. I took one this morning. Last night I went to bed around 9:30 or so, charged it for 1 minute with my flash light. The photo was taken at 5:23 this morning. The lume is amazing!

Wow, that's very impressive! Excellent Lumb by Breitling And the fact it was able to show up this well after so many hours is great. I know from past attempts it's not always easy to capture a lume shot.

Yes, that was after about 8 hrs. That's why I was wondering if the have changed it (lume). My new 126200 would last only about 8 minutes if that. Then it would be so faint you would need a light to see it

You should see it when you first charge it. It is literary like a neon sign for about 30 minutes. then it fades to what you see in the picture.

Here is a picture when I first charge it. The lume is so bright you can see it reflecting off the matte dial.

That's intense! I can get a very good sense of the quality Superluminova they've used in this application. Breitling, Omega, and Seiko are among the best for this that I've seen.

I'm guessing you got the new warranty card and not the e-warranty card with these? Also, the latest box which is basically a travel pouch?
