I do not own both myself, one of my friends (very wealthy WIS) has quite a few Hublots.

He has had and sold most every modern Rolex (he is not a vintage guy), still has a few pieces (WG DD, YG Daytona and a Sub that I know of).

Anyway he is now, well for the past two years been on a HUGE Hublot craze! He has been the factory, eaten with Mr. Biver and he has nothing but good things to say.
He got ticked off at Rolex due to a customer service issue.

When I asked him why Hublot, why not the ROO or something like that (he has a ROO or two) and he said he loved their unique designs, comfort of wear, the contact with the CEO but most of all he loved how there is such a group of passionate collectors and he loves the chase of getting new models or limited editions. He has a blast trading them with people he knows and hunting them down.

Id like one someday....

Hublot's are amazing, i love my Big Bang all black. However, Hublot is not really a brand that can be compared to Rolex that well. Both companys have completely different styles of watches. Hublot can be compared better to brands such as Richard Mille, and Wyler Geneve. All three brands make great watches, and are famous for there strong rubber straps and they don't come cheap.

I think Hublot makes a cool watch. I'd rather put my money into a Rollie simply for the fact that they hold their value.

In house movement or not, I dig the Hublots. I think it's on my list just after I get my Omega.
