My cat Sammie

Hello, Today my cat of ten years passed away from heart failure, she fell ill the first of this month as my post on Safetrends described, we thought it would pass the doctors told us with medication she should get along. Well the past few days she had taken a turn for the worse and the doctors found out that not just one part of her heart was not working the heart had begun to fail. We brought her home yesterday, to see how she would do however this morning she took a turn for the worse, Jan and I said good by to her and held her for the longest time, she was so weak that she passed away without any pain or sufferring. Sammie had the best life with us she came to us as a stray cat on deaths door, she was a great spirit with love that would not stop, my wish is that she is happy on her way to another great adventure. I cannot express how grateful I was to have her for ten happy years together she will be missed so much my wife Jan and I, David Walz of Safetrends.

Also to my friends thanks for the good times today you cheered me up today with the post when I felt so low and I could not log on with Safetrends like I wanted to.

Jocke, Leo have proved to be the best friends on TRF also but do not tell them as it will spoil them.

Steve if you want to ban me now it is OK I am ready for it just email me to walz@safetrends.com since I cannot long on as Safetrends because it is locked since I left. That is one reason for the different name.

No spell check I can hardly keep from crying right now.

I'm so sorry for your loss my friend! I feel your pain, I really do! I cried like a baby when we had to put our beloved German Shepard down. So good to see you again though! You know you are missed David!

I am so SORRY. Losing a pet is a heart-breaking experience...I know.

For what it is worth, your "baby" is in heaven looking after you now, in peace.

Looking at pictures and MEMORIES are the best way to remember and celebrate her life.

For you and your beloved Sammie . . .

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

My condolences brother - pets bring such joy to our lives and they ground us on Earth! Keep in your heart the memories of this fine cat and eventually open your heart to another.

David,

I'm truly sorry for your loss. The passing of a pet I actually find harder than some relatives. They give us so much unconditional love, that when I look at my pets, I never see a dog or a cat, I only see my family. You gave her the best gift you could, your love and she was happy. Take care my friend.

David,

I am so sorry to hear about Sammie. I have a cat as well and if anything ever happend to her I would be devastated. As for your alias, it makes no difference to me which avatar I chat with I know it's you and I'm happy to chat here with you on TRF. Let bygones be bygones and let's get on with watchtalking! Wait for the pics of my new acquisition, you'll love it!

Cheers to you my friend.

You caused no problems my friend, the only problem I saw was when you left the room and didn't want to come back....As I said before I wasn't gonna beg, but I'm glad you decided to come back even if it's under an alias...

Sorry to hear about your loss . My first pet was a cat . I still remember the day he got ran over as it was yesterday and it will be close to 40 years now . I think the best thing is to go straight to the local shelter and get another cat , you will be able to turn your grief into love you shower the newcomer with !
Chin up old chap !

I'm sorry for your loss David.

You really shouldn't have done the "I'm leaving TRF" drama queen thing unless you were 100% certain about it. Even then a quiet exit would have been far more appropriate.

The second account thing is strictly against the rules.
