What do you think of the Seiko SKX007K2 Diver?
So does anyone else own this watch or had any experience with it?
It seems reasonably priced... about $160 for an automatic movement, 660ft depth rated, and reasonably attractive. I'm thinking of picking one up to hold me over while I find my perfect 16600 SD I would also feel much more comfortable wearing this at the beach or pool with no worries, as I would have them wearing my GMT |

160.00 is nothing to worry about loosing over for a watch.
If you want a really nice Seiko, buy a SKA511P1 Sportura Kinetic Divers you will not be dissapointed, I have one and now my son is wearing it. |

Yup - owned two. Great watch... it's probably one of the best values in the industry. Both were accurate to within 4 sec per day.

The 007 is a big WIS favorite (all of the SKXs are).
My only problem was the stock Jubilee bracelet was too small for my ginormous wrist, so I have it on a NATO.

The skx series are great values and a blast to mod as well. The stock jubilee, while very comfortable, is a bit on the light side. Easy enough to upgrade though.

A great watch indeed. Also look at the other watches in the skx series, all of them excellent value for the money.
Personally, I prefer any other bracelet to the jubilee but thats just me |

I have one SKX007K1 (I have a tread on this on TRF) but not on jubilee bracelet.
You will be seriously hard pressed to find a ISO certified automatic diver watch with that Seiko quality at that price! It is really really good watch. The jubilee bracelet feels a bit light though and so I ordered the one with a rubber strap and brought a SEL bracelet instead. You should try that too if you like! :) The movement is rock solid but it is not hackable. |

I have the SKX009, the same watch but with a red/black bezel on a rubber strap. Great watch, you'll love it.

I had 009 model for years (two years ago I gave it to my uncle, it still ticks flawlessly) and it was one of the best all-round watches that I ever had.
7S26 movement (the same one as in Monster series), while no fancy looking, is without a doubt one of the most robust and reliable movements out there, really bang for buck. The only downside for me was very light Jubilee-style bracelet, but after awhile, you start to realize that it`s actually VERY comfortable. You can`t go wrong with Seiko Diver`s!

I respect that. To each his own. I had Harold design something specifically for me and it came out exactly as I wanted it. Couldn’t be happier. That’s the whole point of modding; doing something that is unique to your own style. I actually get compliments on it every time I wear it.
Thanks for the love DP. I guess it takes a fellow modder to appreciate the style of a piece like this. I appreciate that greatly. Cheers |

+1 on all the positive comments here regarding 7S26 Seiko powered divers. Great watch and great bang for the buck - as I sit here wearing my Black Monster.
