I think JLC are such a great brand. They're in my top 5 favourite watch brands :)

I adore JLC, one of the best values on the swiss market. Great heritage, very different pieces, and great prices. I have enjoyed my Squadra very much for the past 6 months. They have a watch for every taste i think.
I like the fact that not many people know about them. haha AP's have had most of my attention lately but an NSA alarm on the used market is just a great deal I think. decisions decisions

JLC is a great brand! They clearly aren't as popular as Rolex or Omega but I think anybody who knows a bit about watches will enjoy their pieces.

I would snag one up too…especially the Euro version. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it around 7.5k – 8k after the hype dies down a bit. There is already one (US version) selling for under retail at the other forum.

That is exactly the problem with JLC from a value standpoint. It doesn't retain it. |

Great watches that seem to fly under the radar for the most part IMO. I picked up a Navy Seal a few months back that was ordered straight from JLC, unfortunately when it arrived there was something stuck to the inside of the crystal. Back to JLC for six weeks, kind of a bummer.

My JLC Master Chrono boutique edition was even worse out of box. When trying to pushing the crown from the outward position after setting time or date the dial and movement moved!? Only .5-1mm or so but it seemed absurd that they somehow hadn't fastened the movement inside the case. Straight to the boutique in Beverly Hills and onto service, it came back working perfectly. Lack of QA in my limited experience. Still, they produce some stellar movements and design. I guess I've just been particularly unlucky. Or not. |

I like the JLC range but in each style at a price point I can find one I like better in another brand.
IMO you will find real love for JLC on a JLC Forum.

JLC have some great watches. The classic Reverso never goes out of style. But they have some gimmicky watches as well. "Navy Seals". Really? And I really hate the fake lume on the Reverso 1930 (1931?) tribute and the Polaris tribute. All in all it is a great brand though.

I'm a JLC fan. Love the Navy Seals limited for being a big chunky chunk of a great durable watch, love the MC for being affordable refinement. A good brand that spans the breadth of the market, from the affordable to the, well, higher end.
A buddy of mine has a Navy Seals, love that watch. |

Just picked up my first JLC. I see a Reverso in my future at some point, but thought I might start with something a little more flexible. This one will pull double duty as a pure dress watch, as well as complimenting (hopefully) khaki/sport shirt office wear.

My 2nd JLC watch will be this fine piece. I think JLC hit a homerun with this model. It's priced very well i think, around 7500.00 grey market. The gold model is nice too but not my cup of tea.

Yah, I think the Reverso Grande series (GMT, SunMoon, Date) are still some of my favorite watches even though I ended up selling them (just thought they looked a little small on my wrist and I"m going through a bigger watch phase at the moment) but I don't have one bad thing to say about JLC. And that duometre is one of my, probably unattainable, grails.
