JLC Reverso Photos

I just acquired this Jaeger LeCoultre Grande Reverso Duo and love it. I think it is the perfect companion to my GMT II BLNR.

Lets see your Reverso!

Very nice group you have! I have to take a look at getting a nice brown Casa Fagliano or similar strap.

Fagliano's a bit pricey but I'm counting on 'em to last a long, long time . .

Wow, what an amazing watch. Absolutely stunning. Just goes to show that JLC hit the nail on the head with that design right from the get go. Thanks for sharing.

Any of you have the Classique with a cool engraving on the back?

I love the Duo but there is something so cool about the original version and the story behind why the watch flipped over. If I ever get one I think I need to go Classique.

Awesome Reverso GMT! Looks great on you

Since I got my Reverso Duo my Rolexes don't feel that special anymore, do you feel the same?

Thanks Anuj! These Reversos have a certain elegant understated appeal that I don't find in Rolexes. I really appreciate the 8-day power reserve feature. I read on some forum that it is apparently a 10-day power reserve, i.e. the watch will run for 240 hours (starting from a fully wound state) before it stops. However, timekeeping may not be that accurate during last two days. And also, apparently the blue hands are not painted. They heat the hands at a certain temperature for a specified duration to achieve that color.

However, Rolexes are also very appealing in a completely different way. They are very robust, have 100 m waterproof oyster case, and can handle whatever we throw at them.

My Milgauss GV (black dial) is going to take a back seat for the foreseeable future ... for now, I'm going to wear this Reverso and sky-dweller.

Thanks for the info - i didnt know that about the blue hands! I also wanted the reverso gmt but sadly my wrist could not pull it off as it is quite large and thick. Its a great watch though and has many useful complications, there is not many watches that could compete with that on price.

I agree with your point on rolexes, they are more robust but when i put on my Reverso it feels special. The detail and craftsmanship is staggering and then when i look at my sub it just looks a little bland. But im still enjoying all my watches, its just that my reverso spends much more time on my wrist than any other timepiece!

I ordered a Fluco Horween Shell Cordovan strap on Amazon. It is a deep brown colour with a nice sheen. The leather is flexible and sturdy. Apparently Fluco make all the straps for Nomos so the quality is excellent. I kept it on the normal tang and buckle, since for me they are more comfortable than any deployant buckle I've tried.

I got the style with matching stitching and some padding on the ends that attach to the watch. So far after a few hours only, it is quite nice to wear and already starting to hold a curve to my wrist. I think it fits a more casual attire compared to the JLC black alligator strap.
