If I haven't got the money to afford it, when I know I have bills to pay, it dosen't get used on 'something else'

Unfortunately the thinking which the majority of the world has used and has got us in the econmic depression in the first place is opposite to the first paragraph.

If you can't afford it don't buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Irresponsible spending is OUT!

I rather suspect I'll take a tax "hit" this year -- worst case is some US$10k - GB£6K -- Having said that, it doesn't necessarily mean that I won't go shopping.

Mike. (I have a cunning plan!).

Last year my refund wasn't enough to buy a Rolex (maybe a new Omega Seamaster), but I've gotten a promotion at work (making quite a deal more then before), so we'll see what happens.

My goal every year is to have a perfect wash at tax time. I don't owe them, they don't owe me. Haven't acheived it yet but still trying.

What's a tax refund? I think I knew once, but it's been years since I've actually seen one.
