And he's one of the few banjo players where you don't have to keep looking behind you when you hear them playing.

Talk about feeling old, I saw him do a stand-up show back in 1977.

He seems like he's been in his late 50s for about 30 years.

I need to rewatch some of these (‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles’ is probably the first I’d rewatch). ‘The Jerk’ is great. I didn’t mind him in that recent TV show ‘Only Murders In The Building’ either.

I had a similar aunt.

At 29, she looked 46.

When I last saw her, before her death, at 87, she looked 46.

Probably not a bad situation, all in all.

RIP Aunt Dot. You were always so nice and always had cookies!

Perhaps the best business movie of all time. "Oh, it's a profit thing!"

The new Steve Martin Apple TV documentary is really insightful on a man many of his close friends don't really know.

LOL, I saw him back in (I believe) 1978. Surely we can't both be that old?

I will never forgive the idiot that thought Steve Martin could possibly be a suitable replacement for Peter Sellars as Inspector Clouseau

His movie Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid...was pretty interesting for mixing old film noir scenes with new scenes.

It was pretty seamless for it's time,

When I first saw the movie, I was very annoyed with... well, everything about it, really.

On a second viewing and with more thought, I realized that Mr. Martin could not just simply be an updated American version of Peter Sellers, he had to change the character and how it was represented. In that regard, I think he did an excellent job and taken in context, there is some funny stuff there. Jean Reno was excellent as always.

And really... Peter Sellers was just an incredibly talented actor, and who could possibly replace him?

I read from Blake Edwards (director) and Julie Andrews interviews that Peter Sellers was incredible self conscious and after every scene, he was convinced he wasn't funny. He always thought he was a complete failure.

Meanwhile the cast and crew were laughing their asses off.
