The Aquanaut was even worse, didn't even make it to the wrist, just returned back to the case. And I'm not comparing to anything huge. I wear a 39mm ROC, but the Pateks are just sooooo small. I really wanted a blue face Nautilus, but I need a bigger 5711.
You may try 5711 white dial.. perceived size is slightly bigger than the blue dial.

I'm not sure what size the 5711 is vs. the 5712 off hand, but I have a 5712r and love the size. I have 7 3/4" wrist and am over 6' 3" and i think its plenty big and wears well also. I have many larger watches as well, but that Nautilus is a keeper, IMO.
Have you tried that one?

Have you considered the bigger 5980 or 5726?

Is the 5726 larger than the 5711/5712? I know the 5980 is thicker but haven't tried the 5726 yet.

I too have 7 3/4 inch wrists and my 5712G does not look small. In fact I chose that model because I was amazed at how thin it is. I have many 43 - 45 mm watches but that Patek is truly special!

I tried the 5980 and it felt smaller than the 5711 likely because it was chunkier.

Maybe it's because my current rotation is DSSD, Pam 233 and the 15400. I think I will put these 3 away and rotate between my DD, JLC MUT, vintage GMT master to get my eyes and brain used to smaller watches and retry the 5711 in another few weeks.

Regards.

Yep I agree with this. Somehow the thickness and fat bezel make it look smaller than the 5712.
