Lol. I havent figure out what i do for a living yet. Im surprised people put up with me.

So an update for everyone with the Jean Rousseu

I went there today... they said europe can do the square whole punch. Said they will be getting the capability to do squarere punches at some point. At this point it would need to be sent out.

Tomorrow they are going to help me change my blue strap that i got for free from tiffany’s to white stitching...cost $40. And 1 day. Im going to do that for now.

To get a crocadile strap done it would be around 340-500 depending

Guys, thanks for the info here. I actually emailed Jean Rousseu London and they confirm they can get it done but require the dimension of the straps. Do any of you have it handy when you order yours? Also what did you do with the original white gold bucket?

Just for information, I have bought black calf leather strap (shorter one) from geneva salon in December.

Geneva salon in January - they had dark blue with white stitching, and black with white stitching. The blue one is more matte (see pic above by turborolex) while the black one is a little shiny.

They had short and long versions of the straps available. They did not need proof that I own the 5524 - they were just happy to sell them to me. I ended up getting 2 blue straps in the shorter size. Got some gifts from them too.

The sales associate there was shocked that I could not order one from Hong Kong under any circumstances (my AD tried so hard for me ... the answer was "cannot be ordered").

Yes, my hk sales tried so hard too and the answer is can’t be order. Does Geneva salon sells remotely?

I’m considering the 5524G. Question for you owners: anyone swim in it? I believe in wearing my watches. Rated 60m which should be okay, right? Would put a NATO or similar
Sport strap on it...

I think for swimming you should have a minimum of 100m WR.

The pilot is the only pp that I like and would consider buying. Wished it would come out in ss though. Got to try on the rg pilot recently. Couldn't justify price though. Would prefer a deployant with a more comfortable strap. Very stiff and would need some breaking in. Still prefer my yg skyd on bracelet for sure.

I know the 5524 is not the most loved but by far this is one of my favorite Patek pieces. I have both 5524 and 5522 and ended up ordering a dark blue strap for it that I swap out on both watches to mix it up.

Not only do I love the size but the 5524 is very functional as I use it every time I travel. the dual time zone is very useful along with the day/night indicator.

Yes not the traditional Patek but Im a fan of larger watches and the 42mm size is just perfect for me.
