I have someone who has expressed interest in purchasing something I have advertised here. When I look then up on this forum I see "banned' under their username. Odd as they are still posting and I actually see a few items they have listed for sale here. What is the meaning of 'banned' here and who assigns it? Apparently my definition of the word differs from the Forums. thank you

The first email I received from him said only:

The 2nd email from him said only:

Hi,

Thanks for your email...

Hope This is your advert on TRF before you send over payment info

Banned members are banned for a reason.

If you are getting e-mails from a banned member, as opposed to a pm, you are working off-forum and not within our structured guidelines.

Negative, he's working off forum, I have no control of what someone sends me and why I'm asking the question. I was curious how he could post an item for sale here just last week (unless he was just banned). I'll just delete and block. thanks

Let me guess it came from “ Bobabreath “ email? User name “ Abi” , he also contacted me via PM here asking to send him an email. So I did, he proceeded to send me another email and asked me to click on the the link he provided. I told him I wasn’t going to click on it and never heard from him ever since. Just the typical DBag scammer.
