Both are dressy but I would lean towards the Patek personally. If I were in a tux that would be my choice.

Neither is a “dress watch”, but I suppose the PP is more dressy? Dunno. Depends on the wearer.

Ok, I'll be that guy but for me the DD. Maybe because it's a a grail watch for me but any watch nicknamed the "President" is classy and a perfect dress watch.

People will say Patek because of the strap. I think they are equally dressy, and both are awesome.

If we're talking formal wear, Patek Philippe. I think the leather strap makes it so. Nice suit, either works.

Out of those two, the PP. Neither are truly dress watches though, a dress watch shouldn't have complications. And yes, some people do notice.
